  1. I usually burn anywhere from 450-600 calories in my sleep, depending on the amount of tossing and turning I do.
  2. The scale did move down to 233 at one time, but as usual, I steady out at a new weight. 3. I sold a bunch of my nice dressy clothes on ebay. I'm also going to try my hand at altering some of my work slacks. I'm not zooming through the sizes in my shirts, only my pants.
  4. Here's my stats Thursday Calories burned- 2207 Consumed- 1025 Deficit- 1182 Friday Burned-2503 Consumed-606 Deficit-1897 Saturday Burned-2296 Consumed-809 Deficit-1487 HAPPY MOTHERS DAY ALL MOMMA BANDSTERS!!
  5. Renewed, You said you ran the 5k in 37 minutes and burned 416 calories, thats over 10 cals/ min. Thats pretty rockin' in my book!! I have to admit, I have not worked out since I got my bugg, I've done a lot of moving around and extra steps, but I haven't done a full blown workout:blushing:. I have been working 6 days a week 12 hours a day, I know excuses, excuses. When I get off this schedule I'll get back to the treadmill and the bosu ball, but until then, I always take the steps, I park farther away, etc... The most I've ever seen my calories up to is about 9/min while I was walking up my driveway (incredibly steep and long!).
  6. Well, I do consider you svelte:thumbup: I love that word!! Anywho, you can actually go on the website and narrow down the times. If you look at the calories burned graph, grab the edges of the gray bar at the top of the graph. You can "zoom" in on the time you were running and it will show you how many calories you burned at the bottom of the page. You can do a lot of cool stuff with the bugg! I have mine set to go off at 1100 to tell me to take my vitamin.
  7. Renewed WTG!!!! Just curious, how many calories did your bodybugg register during the 5k?? You have an excellent burn rate to be so little.
  8. Yeah, I remember seeing that somewhere, that was an awesome find!! I don't have that kind of luck
  9. I haven't done this in a while, so I'm gonna start again... Yesterday B-Brownie:eek: L- 3 bites chicken from a Weight Watchers Meal D- Bowl of Boo Berry Crunch cereal and a serving of Kashi Country Cheddar crackers (my addiction) BTW, luluc, I love reading your daily menus, you always eat the coolest stuff, I aspire to eat like you!
  10. Here's my newest numbers 5/6-Tuesday Burned 2243 Consumed 1113 Deficit 1751 5/7-Wed Burned 2130 Consumed 1445:eek: Deficit 685:eek: Thats actually my newest numbers, I'll upload tonight and get Thurs and Friday.
  11. Good Luck on your 5k, I'm so impressed! I aspire to run a 5k! I was also scared about getting one of ebay. I got mine from 24 hour fitness. It was 349 for the bugg and the digital display. Ebay prices weren't much cheaper. It set my calories for 2400 a day. My scheduled deficit for a 2/week weightloss is 1000 calories a day, so I adjusted mine to 2200 calories burned and 1200 consumed. Have you scheduled your "coaching" call yet? They teach you a lot about the ways to do things with the site. If you want to PM me any "specific" questions I'll try to answer them for ya. Have I mentioned how much I loooovvvee my bugg:tt1::thumbup: I got on the scale this morning and am down another 3 pounds to 233. I've had the bugg for a little over 2 weeks and have lost 9 pounds! I think thats actually a combination of things (no more TOM, another fill), but I don't care, Its AWESOME!
  12. Awesome NSV's 40. I vented a little last night to my man because no one that I work with has commented on my weight loss... Well, finally today, one of the guys I work with said, WOW, look at you, what's going on?! Now, I feel a little better. While I was venting to my man last night his comment was, "Well, they don't get to see you naked:thumbup:"! He He He... I'm just so tall that 40 pounds doesn't show much, which was a blessing when I was heavier, I guess...
  13. I haven't seen anything about kidney stones, but I have read that calcium citrate is recommended for bandsters.
  14. slim, Don't get discouraged! You might not be able to eat "anything you like" right now, but that will change. This is an important time for you to stick to your doctors orders, let everything heal up. I know its hard right now, but it won't last long. Don't be discouraged if you put some weight back on when you start mushies (some do, some don't). Try not to look at your weight loss as "I only lost a pound this week", try and look at your average!
  15. I found wonton soup absolutely delightful! Just eat the broth, not the wontons.
  16. Godshelp, You actually have to burn off 3500 calories to equal 1 pound. So that means that "theoretically" JDUB with a 2000 calorie/day deficit will lose 2 pounds every 4 days or so.
  17. I just found your thread today... Sending good vibes your way!! Keep us posted, you're in my thoughts
  18. I think I'm developing a severe case of Rep Envy...
  19. Yesterday Calories Burned- 2837 Calories Consumed-1086 Calorie Deficit-1751 Not as many calories today, 12 hour at the desk too tired to workout....
  20. I'm with you there Chrisann. I once read somewhere on here that someone had a "five bites" rule. Take 5 bites and then stop. I remember reading that and thinking, yeah right! Thats pretty much where I am now. Me and the man went out for Mexican last night in celebration of cinco de mayo. Well, I knew that I probably should just order a taco or an enchilada, but I've still got the dual personality that says "I'm sure I'm not going to be able to eat a whole taco" and the other side that says "But what if I'm still hungry?" GEEEZ Anyways, I went with a combo that had an enchilada, a taco, and a burrito (basically my man said, well, I want leftovers!!) 1 bite of enchilada, 1 bite of burrito, 3 bites of taco, DONE. I LOVE MY BAND
  21. Okay, I can report on Sunday's stuff: Burned-2273 calories Consumed-967 calories Deficit-1306 calories I haven't uploaded it from yesterday. I will when I get home from work. I don't have my digital display on today and its driving me nuts. I like to look down at it and see where I'm at. Sunday was a bad day for me as far as exercise. I had to work 12 hours and its a deskjob, so there ya go. Yesterday was a good day as far as exercise.
  22. I updated mine, the one copied was an old one. 23. I know there is a thread dedicated to Dr. Kirshenbaum (sp?) in Colorado. Seems like his cash pay price is about 10K. I was self pay in TN/GA area and it was 14K. I wouldn't give up on the US unless you are close to Mexico. There are a lot of places with more competitive pricing. Dr. K has glowing reviews...But if you've already done your research and made up your mind, Good Luck!!
  24. I think the key to this issue is education. People are afraid of what they do not understand. My family was not supportive of my decision initially, but after I took the time to educate them about what lap-band is, why I'm having it done, pros, cons and so on, they came around. Now they couldn't be happier for me. They are always amazed at how I look when they see me again and are always asking me how much I've lost. My dad even asked to see my scars because he was considering it. There is an unneccesary stigma attached to Mexican surgeries. I have to say that before I joined LBT I would have never considered having surgery in Mexico, but through education (especially by reading posts by users such as WasaBubbleButt), I can't say that if I had it to do over I wouldn't go to Mexico. There are good and bad places in Mexico, the same as in the US. You've just gotta do your research and keep your best interests in mind. As obese people we have "aimed to please" others while not keeping our interests in mind. Do this for YOURSELF. I was banded Jan 7, 2008, best thing I've ever done for MYSELF. Good Luck, we're all here for you if you need us.
  25. Well I couldn't drink WITH my meal if I wanted to, unless I want to end up staring deeply into my toilet. My doc does recommend not drinking until an hour after I've eaten though. I have a really hard time with that. I've actually bought a kitchen timer and set it so I know when I can drink again. Cheesy, but hey it works!
