  1. It sounds to me like you don't have "true" migraines just really bad headaches. I would go with the excedrin and ask your doc if it is ok to take it because it has aspirin in it. Excedrin also makes a tension formula which has the caffiene, but not the aspirin. I really like the liquid tylenol. It works really fast for my "regular" headaches. The taste is not very appealing though. Have you ever went to a chiropractor for your headaches? It helped with my "regular" headaches. My migraines are hormonal though...
  2. I had a lot of burps up until about a month post op, then nothing. The only time I burp is when something is having a hard time getting through. Every bit of gas I have now goes out the other end.
  3. I assume you haven't been banded yet? My surgeon doesn't do lapband for people that are on regular courses of NSAIDs. Thats not to say that some don't and thats also not to say that my surgeon is wrong and the others are right. NSAIDs are a non-issue for me cuz I'm allergic. So my advice.... Ask your surgeon!
  4. Just to reiterate what wheetsin and Long said. I know its incredibly hard but don't concentrate on weight loss right now... concentrate on healing. I saw any weight that prior to my first fill as a BONUS. Be patient, focus on your Protein and Water intake so you'll heal up nicely. Don't put any "weight" on what the scale says right now.
  5. Monterrey, I didn't have any issues with my 2 week diet because I could have pudding, yogurt and such which I really loved. The first week of Clear liquids was another story though. If I chicken broth and I never meet again I'll be okay with it :bolt:. What stage of the diet does your doc have you on (every doc is different)? If your week 2 is the same as mine I loaded up on pudding, Soups (pacific naturals awesome), ice cream (I know, I know), yogurt, cream of wheat.
  6. That actually happened to me on my first fill (I just got my 3rd fill on Tues (4/1)). He had to take a little out (while I was still there, not later). Needless to say I think that I was just overreacting because it was a "new" feeling. When I took a drink of the Water it kinda gurgled in my chest. I think that my body just reacts quickly, both ways. It is quick to restrict, but then later I don't have any restriction. Hope that helps.
  7. Had my 3rd fill yesterday... Don't know the cc count, my doc doesn't give that out. I expressed my frustration with the elusive sweet spot and ask that he be a little more generous with the fill. I think he was, but only time will tell. I probably shouldn't complain, I do average a little over a pound a week, but feel I've done most of that without the help of my band.
  8. Jim, My doc says the same about moving them quickly through the stoma. He also has the same caution against antibiotics sitting in the pouch.
  9. I agree with Jtag. I would like a goal of like 16-20 workouts (4-5 times a week).
  10. Oh, well, I didn't make it. I'm not going to give excuses, just try to do it this next month. 3rd fill in 4 hours! Restriction please!
  11. Lapband.com - Risk Information Almost all the way down the page... My doc doesn't recommend NSAIDs, they can be used for short term usages, but not what to reach for every time you need some pain relief. Not a big deal with me because I'm allergic to NSAIDs.
  12. I can just see it now, charcoal buttplugs all around!! They go to the "source" of the problem. I guess you could have a hollow chamber in the center with activators and when you farted it could smell like a "spring morning" This is one of the funniest threads I've ever seen BTW:lol:
  13. Oh and another thing, like the new haircut!!
  14. Lookin good Ang. I really see your results. I know I follow your blog and stuff and worry about how much you beat yourself up, not that I'm any different by any means. So just know that it shows girl!! I'll get some pics on here soon. I've been thinking about starting this thread for a while so glad to see that someone else did it. My next fill is April 1st and I can't wait, I've had 2 fills and still no restriction!
  15. Well my doc only does fills with flouro. They also have a girl in the office that does fills. I'm really hoping that the wait is because of the new year or something.
  16. Mine before marriage (now) Lola Heaven-Hooter Better after I get married: Lola Leather-Lick Super Kink!!
  17. Hey guys, Sorry to hear about your slime episode Red. I haven't had a really good one since my first month. An overcooked shrimp just didn't agree with my band. They had an argument and I ended up in the powder room. I'm really working towards the workout goal. It has really helped me to have the deadline. I think I'm on track to make it! I actually worked out 3 nights in a row this week. Thats really kinda unusual for me. I know we are expected to do it 5 times a week, but I really lay it on. I'm up to being able to run for 2 solid minutes on the treadmill so far. I also bought a bosu ball. I had went through some classes on them before and really like it. It also burns a ton of calories. I'm still a little leary about bouncing on it though. I've tried to read the literature and see if there's a weight limit and I can't find one. Oh well, most things will usually accomodate 250 lbs and I'm actually below that now. My weight loss has been super slow, I think its mostly my fault. I'm having major issues with afternoon hunger. I do so well at work with a small Breakfast and low cal lunch, then when I get home I head for the chips or cheese and crackers. I can't eat them like I used to, but its still calories that I shouldn't be having. I've tried adding a Protein shake about 2 o'clock, it seems to be helping. I have had 2 fills and no restriction yet. Don't get me wrong, bread is pretty much out of the picture now. Until this last fill, I hadn't really experienced what is was like to "fill" my pouch. I can do that now it just empties to fast. I have another fill on April 1st so maybe that will do it and I'll get some restriction. I'm also really concerned with my docs lead time on fills. A lady I work with (she's been banded about 2.5 years) has been needing fills and they've not been able to get her in till 3 weeks later. That concerns me so much. When I went to my consult my surgeon assured me that they would be aggressive with my fills and weight loss. I hope that starts to happen after this 3 month regime. They set you up on monthly fills for the first 3 months. Even though I have no restriction they won't let me come in till my monthly appt. That ends on April 1st though, so I'm worried I won't get any restriction from that fill either and then will have to wait another month or more!!
  18. Oh my Cyndi that's horrible:eek:. I'm probably getting worried over nothing, but during my consult my doc assured me he would be aggressive with my weight loss. Hope he's true to his word!!
  19. 24 hours? My goodness do you go to a fill center or something?
  20. Just thought I would try and poll the audience a little on how long it takes for your doc to get you in for a fill. I will be going for my third fill on April 1st. My surgeon has a rigid schedule of a fill a month for 3 months after surgery. I work with a lady who uses the same doctor and she was complaining about not getting an appt for 3 weeks and she needed a fill. This really concerns me, I have no restriction yet after 2 fills, who knows how many fills I will need for restriction and if I have to wait a month to get another fill I'm gonna be pissed!! Sorry that was a little of a concerned vent, but I also wanted to know what others are experiencing at their docs and what the usual is.
  21. Thats so funny, I love the strawberry unjury, goes to show you, you just gotta try them all!
  22. My faves are unjury strawberry and Natural Factors Double chocolate. I like the Natural Factors because it doesn't have any artificial sweetneers and is organic. I've turned into a Manic Organic since banding. I want everything to be the best quality. Thought my grocery bill would go down..... Not the case yet....
  23. I would like to join this challenge, am I too late?????
  24. B-1/2 cup greek yogurt, 1 tbsp honey L- Can of Chunky soup (yes the whole thing 360 calories) D- 1/3 portion of Chicken Fajitas from Chili's S- 90 calories Quaker Chocolate Mint Drizzle rice cakes
  25. Mmmmm... Thin Mints, my favorite:tt1:. I have been tested with the thin mints at a friends house. I actually didn't eat one because I was full and in the back of my mind I was afraid that if I started I couldn't stop. I used to eat a whole sleeve of those things at a time (just so they wouldn't go stale...yeah, thats it, stale.. There is a homemade custard stand near my home, I drove by yesterday and they have Coconut Creme Pie flavor now. Its official, Satan is employed by the custard stand:drool:.
