    Extreme Low BP After Surgery

My BP is running low also. I frequently get dizzy. And have to sit back down after standing up. I have passed out a couple times. Dr said to increase salt intake. Helped a little but makes me retain water so I try to balance it as much as possible.

    Att: Peanut Butter Lovers

I like the walden farms pancake syrup. I put fresh blueberries in a cup with the syrup and heat it in the microwave and out it in protein pancakes (p28). Yummy!
  4. Same here. I am a size 0. 18 months post op size small. When I order clothes I have to force myself to buy the correct size. My head tells me the whole time, "that won't fit you"!!!! However it does. When I hold up a small in the store I think that is not your size. I don't know if it will ever go away. When I look in the mirror I don't see skinny, but everyone else does. Weird!!! I love my new size my only problem is I am 5'9 and have problems finding jeans size 0 with a long length. Oh well rather have that problem than finding clothes size 26. Lost 160 pounds. Going on a cruise the end of this month and bought 5 new bathing suits. Wouldn't have been caught dead in a bathing suit 18 months ago.

    I need help!

Well it passed. I think it was the home made taco seasoning I made. I wanted to eat more clean so I didn't use the packaged stuff. After more investigation I think it may have been reflux. Either way it was horrible! It did pass within an hour or two.

    I need help!

You old think I use know better I am 18 months post op and have never let myself eat so much, I have always measured my food and knew when to stop. Tonight I ate my normal supper all was good then I ate a pice of birthday cake. I am soooo sick right now, feel like I should Luke but cannot. My gut hurts so bad. I don't know what to do to get rid of this feeling. All I can do is moan. Any suggestions? I tried walking. I have been at maintenance for 8 months and I have had this kind of cake in the past and it didn't bother me.

Can you have too much protein?

I used gene pro after my surgery because I couldn't get enough protein in. I know there are skeptics out there. But I didn't lose my hair. It didn't even shed. I am 15 months post op with NO thinning hair, it's longer now than it's ever been. I now get all my protein from food and have since about 8 months post op. So do what is best for you! Gene pro doesn't have a taste and you can add it to hot or cold liquids also. I read that people lose their hair and I know it's a side effect of the surgery. I did take 30000 mg of biotin and I still do that today because I did t want to take any chances and even if I took more than I needed my doctor said too much wouldn't hurt me. So there you go we all have different experiences with this surgery. Good luck to you!

The fear of regain is REAL!

I too have a huge fear of re gaining. I am very strict (some say I am too skinny). I am 5'9 and weigh 125. I do did into the "up underweight BMI category. But I didn't feel that skinny. I have a five pound bounce range that I allow myself. I have a friend that had the surgery a month ago and eats Cheetos and little Debbie chocolate wafers. It is scary. I have been maintaining for 6 months. Went from 289 to 125 in about 8 months. I know I can do it. I just wish I was a skinny person that could eat what I want and not gain like some people were born to do.

    Where's the "support"?

Amen - when I see something that hits me as "stupid" or " you gotta be kidding me" - I back out of the post and move on to something more interesting without feeling the need to belittle anyone. I have been away from the forum for quite some time. I found that many people become "weight loss experts and surgery experts" because they have had this surgery. Bottom line is we were all in the same boat. Overweight. Nobody is an expert on this surgery in these forums. All we should be able to share is what our experiences are or were because each person has their own journey both physically and mentally. There are so many different ways we all gained the weight and although we have one thing in common the gastric sleeve we will all have different ways what works for us to lose the weight. I am 14 months post op been maintaining since February. I do what works for me and it might not necessarily work for someone else, I don't like the tough love thing. It's not for me that's why I left the forum in the first place. I thought I would give it another try we will see how it works for me this time.
