I'm pre op July 13th- but of course trying to read everything I can before. I see threads where people get nervous if they haven't lost from one day to the next- how often do you weigh yourself?

Yea!!! I started my requirements in January and am scheduled for July 13th-R&Y too. U have a couple appt left then yea!

I went with my dr advice. He said it was the best option for me. I just want to do this once and many come back to get R&Y after the others failed. Not that they fail for everyone! Just his opinion.

I'm going to wait until after surgery and have lost some weight to tell people outside of hr and my boss. When I start dropping weight and they ask- ill tell them but not sharing numbers either. My 9 yr old will keep me on task.

My stuff should be through insurance by end of May but my surgeon's next open date is July 13th. Did you sleep why August?

My dr is good about it too- my insurance is not from what I understand- but my dr requires liquid diet the 2weeks before and I should lose about 15-20 then. Does your dr require that? He says it will tell them I'm ready to change my lifestyle which is required to be successful.

Great tips I'll have 2weeks before surgery too. I dread it too but I'll get ready!

I'm on Cigna too- my doc said my initial weight is the one for insurance and not to gain at all before surgery- lose what I can hit no gain per insurance requirements. My 3 month nutritionist plan isn't about weight loss but education about what is to come after. She would love to see some loss but it's more about behavior and relationship with food. I have met w nutritionist 2 and 1 more before surgery. I meet w surgeon fort first time Monday- have follow up w psych. on psychological testing on the 11th then surgeon again hopefully pretty quick again to get surgery date.
