    No desire to eat

At 2 days post op I was on liquids only anyway? No food so I didn't have meals really... Just different types of liquids- those with protein and those without.

    Muscle milk

I like muscle milk , but I get the pro version 32 g if Protein. If I grab the 25 G protein version in the gas station they have more flavors! I like chocolate, vanilla, Cookies and cream and banana. I am not a fan of strawberry. Do you have a GNC near you? They have lots of options on powder or ready made protein drinks! My grocery store carries a lot of different shakes including muscle milk pro. Good luck!!

    VITAMIN PATCH NOT OK

Doesn't provide enough of what? It would be helpful if you elaborate a bit. Where are you getting your info? The printed informations meets on the Vitamins meet the guidelines my doctor gave me to follow. Just curious because your response didn't make a lot of sense as it was so vague!

    Chest Pain?

I get a pain in chest if I eat a big bite, take a big drink or have a food that my pouch doesn't like- that pain is how I now I have to vomit usually--- once I get to the bathroom the food/liquid comes back up and my chest pain has resolved. My pain is sharp almost burning feeling. It is uncomfortable but it is my body's way of saying that wasn't a good choice!

    It's an emotional day.

Awesome!! What a major milestone!! ????????????????
  12. I had a stall on weeks 2-3!! I started losing again this week! It is frustrating but won't last forever!
  13. Time is flying! I have still not advanced my diet completely through my doctors phases, but I am ready to try advancing again after the last week of vomiting new foods. I have lost 31 pounds in the last 6 weeks, 14 pounds since surgery on 9/29 (including a 2 week stall at the same weight (frustrating). I have my next appointment with my surgeon on 10/29, exciting! I love reading about everyone's success-- soon I hope my story will be inspiring too. ????

    Yeah! 1 Month Post-Op

I made fish again tonight to try to advance my diet to the next phase! I was able to tolerate about 1 oz of Basa, white flakey fish that I poached. Yeah! That went so much better than last week when I tried to advance to fish! ????????????

    Doc says no fruit--EVER

A pound of vegetables per day? I'm only on my 5th week so maybe it will change. But I couldn't even begin to imagine eating that much per day. Especially in addition to the required Protein. I would have to eat every hour and still don't think I could consume that much. Sorry I don't mean at any point in early pre-op! eventually like year 2+ also blending is an easy way to get in veggies- kale/spinach. I am 4 weeks pre-op and get maybe 2 Tablespoons of veggies a day. (If that!) His bariatric program gets a lot of traffic on YouTube and a little in this site for promoting a whole food/ Veggie heavy bariatric food plan. (Dr. Weiner- a pound of cure if interested)

    Yeah! 1 Month Post-Op

I bet your are!! Not much longer for you now! I am not on meat yet, but I can tolerate a small amount of veggies in Soup or roasted. I really like Beans, eggs, and light and fit Greek yogurt right now! Yum!

    It's official 100 Lost

    Congrats!!! What an accomplishment!
  21. I had a week of last meals before pre-op started! chicken nuggets and fries from McDonalds, Chicken Lo-mein and crab ragoons, pizza and breadsticks. I am looking at trying a lo-me in type recipe with spaghetti squash or zucchini zoodles. I miss Chinese flavors!

    Doc says no fruit--EVER

No- my surgeon encourages fresh fruit and veggie smoothies rather commercial "shakes" during recovery. He advocates patients work to eating a pound of veggies a day with 1-2 fruit. (No juice tho) I picked my surgeon based on his nutritional philosophy. ???????? I am suppose to avoid processed foods of any kind but have no restrictions on calories, carbs, fat, etc. I track to help me be mindful of my choices and keep track of my Protein. I am at about 500 calories a day at 1 month out usually 50-60 G protein. ????
  23. Oops! I missed the post where you decided! I am glad you were able to come to a decision! Good Luck to you!
  24. This is me 100%- I have lost hundreds of pounds over the last 20 years...it is the ability to maintain that has been an issue. What are the reasons you wanted surgery? Have any of those changed? Where do you think you will be in 6 months? A year? Will you regret getting the surgery and losing weight? Will you regret not getting the surgery if you don't lose anymore? Really this is such a personal decision! Good luck with whatever choice you make! ????????
