Anyone have an over 50 BMI?

That was what happened in my sisters case. My BMI was 47, but I asked my insurance if the waive the 6 month requirement if over 50- they did not. Just depends on your insurance. I hope you get the date you want!!
  4. I have two! I had to buy new scrubs for work- an XL because my 3X scrubs were falling off! I bought a dress from an online retailer (clothes come from China) I bought thinking it would be to small for another month or too- just tried it on today for fun and it fits!! I am really excited at the changes! I will be 2 months on the 29th- I have lost 26 pounds since surgery- 44 pounds from my first weigh in at surgeon's office. I included a picture from a week before surgery so you can compete-- I was making a worried face because I didn't want my sister to snap a picture. ???? *my toddler took the picture in the red polka dot dress it explains why I have no head. He is the only one home today to help me with a picture!

    Heart Rate Monitors

I have had my Charge HR from Fitbit since it first came out- almost a year now. I LOVE it and the tracking software. I also love the sleep tracking feature. I have used Fitbit products for around 2 years total. I also have the Fitbit scale- I love how everything is tracked automatically!
  6. Anyone else having trouble finding fair life skim? Both my normal stores have only 2% and whole fair life. I really need my skim milk!!!!! It has been two weeks since I have been able to find it!

Fair life Skim? Where are you?

Yeah- I couldn't drink milk before fair life either-- ❤️❤️ this stuff! My DH drinks a lot of milk after I switched he said how awesome the milk was because he didn't get gas/bloating after drinking a lot of milk! My Meijer has been out of the skim-- (reason I posted originally) I don't normally shop at Kroger, but might need to see if the have any skim... Maybe it is a local issue? Or maybe a whole lot of people in my area discovered how awesome fair life skim milk is! ????????

Fair life Skim? Where are you?

I have been using the 2%, but it is a lot more calories... I suppose since I don't eat much it isn't the biggest deal. I was just use to buying 2 skim and 2 whole cartons on each shopping trip. I give my husband/son the whole milk. Tonight I asked my local target about it and they said it was a company issue?
  10. same here! My skin is so dry!! 7 weeks post op!

    New to dating

Was she working when you texted? Just a thought? You should still be chatting other women at this point. You might meet the love of your life while this girl is slowly responding! Dating is work- at least what I remember! ???? it should be fun too. Just be yourself and have fun! I agree with a few other posts about online dating--- expect to make contact with a lot of weirdos before you meet a few interesting people. Do you think your confidence has increased after you met with a woman in person? Good Luck with your future dating life!

    Vegetarian/Vegan RNY Oct. 2014 surgery

My surgeon promotes a diet high in veggies, fruit natural nuts, and Beans with little if any animal Protein. All surgeons have different thoughts on nutrition.
  17. This x1000! I don't want to diet anymore!

Having a period right before surgery?

I was on my period during surgery-- you can't use tampons, they will provide you with pads... It's not a big deal really. I am a nurse- there a lot worse things than blood!
  19. Also this whole thread has made my day. I am sitting at home in my recliner sipping propel zero while attending live education meetings before I go back to work next week.... This thread is my only form of entertainment! Thanks!
  20. I am so glad I have no hunger at all! It makes the diet restrictions easier! I hope you can advance soon with no issues! ????

    Just had a weird experience?

1/4 cup of the cashew "ice cream" I had was 8g of sugar similar to light and fit Greek yogurt that doesn't affect me... Never know! I am kinda glad I get dumping syndrome, but when it happens it sucks!

    Just had a weird experience?

I have had two episodes of dumping syndrome, but it is not good! The last time was right before Halloween! I do not reccomend trying cashew "ice cream" even 1/4 of a cup....... I had terrible vomitting (with nothing in pouch), dizziness, sweating, abdominal cramping, and diarehha and overall feeling of death. It lasted about 4 hours? On a positive note- I knew that trying halloween candy was out of the question!
  23. Next week I have to go back to work @ 6 weeks. I had a pretty easy recovery, no pain or complications. I have had some trouble getting Water in and advancing my diet. I stopped advancing per my surgeon and I am sticking with the soft foods that work right now. ( I will advance further at 3 months and see if it goes better!) I am a Nurse on a busy acute care floor so I am worried about returning to work. I did work night shift which I thought would be really hard coming back from surgery. I will be returning on Day shift (with a few night shifts) and have tried to pick my days spaced out so no 3 12 hour shifts in a row. I also will have no weekends until I can get on the day shift completely when a few new nurses are off orientation and on night shift. Yeah! They day shift is stressful, but at least I will be well rested so i think that will help! I know I will have trouble staying hydraed when I am on the floor. We can't have water on our mobile carts or in our hall cubbies. I can have in the break room or in the charge nurses office, but I don't have a lot of time to walk over to those areas. I will just have to make time to do it at least 2 times per hour in order keep my water intake at a decent level. If I worked a desk job I would have been go back probably by week 3? I do think the full 6 weeks is helpful to work on changing your drinking and eating habits at home!
  24. I always love your ideas! Keep experimenting!

    Question

I had no dye restrictions-- I had red Jello the day after surgery in the hospital-- this is the first I have heard of this--- I am always so surprised by the different pre/post op instructions! Of course follow your pre-op instructions. ????
