    March Sleevers

I had my surgery on March 10th. Since then I've started grad school and found out my dad had cancer. I've been eating like crap since and have stalled out with 32 pounds lost. I've also started taking a medication that's causing me to retain water like crazy. I'm hoping to get my mind back on track after going on vacation this week. I am also losing hair and it's crazy. I have a lot of hair so it isn't noticeable but it's crazy how all of a sudden it just started coming out. Good luck to everyone out there. We can do it!

    So disappointed

I think you are doing great. I'm 3 weeks post op and I've slowed down my weight loss significantly since the first two weeks. I had a higher starting weight than you and so far I've lost about 18 pounds, so we are around the same area in regards to percentage lost. I feel like I'm stuck in a rut in regards to types of foods eating. My doc also said low carb but some of the soft and pureed foods are carb heavy like grits or mashed potato. I've gotten tired of so many protein shakes and yogurt. I know if I were to lower my carb intake I would probably lose more weight. Maybe if you reduced your carbs for a week you could see how that works for you. Either way, I think you are doing a great job. Every body is different and will lose at different rates. Who knows, you could lose big time in the next few weeks. Keep your chin up and good luck!

    Constipation

My doc recommended Colace. He said it was a gentle stool softener. Works wonders! Lol

    Sleeved today March 18

That's great! Hope everything goes well. Just remember to try and move as much as possible the next few days to work out any gas bubbles left. Congrats!
  5. Anyone else experience teeth clenching after surgery? I'm getting some pretty bad headaches and have to stop and move my jaw around. I had stress related teeth clenched before but I feel like this is almost nonstop.

    Back to work blues...

I take my vitamins everyday. I actually felt way more energized today than yesterday, but I also had a cup of coffee this morning. My doc said I could have caffeine in moderation but I know others are strict.
  7. I was sleeved on March 10th and my doc said it was ok if I went back to work today. I teach 9th grade so I can't really just sit down all day long. I told them that I had surgery and that I would be really sluggish in class for about a week. Now that I'm back at work I feel just mentally and physically exhausted. How long will this last usually? All I can think about is my bed!

    March 9th sleevers

I was actually sleeved on 3/10/15. The first few days were pretty rough but my doc wanted me up moving around as much as I could to help with the gas pains. I had a hard time getting in all my liquids at first but it's easier now. I've lose about 10 pounds since Tuesday. It's just nuts! Good luck to everyone!
  9. How long did everyone experience gas pains after the surgery? Every time I swallow water or anything it hurts going down. It has improved a little since my surgery yesterday but still hurts like crazy.
