  1. My nut says 5-6 small meals a day, that will also help curb hunger. I am doing that and still only eating 500-600 calories 4 weeks post op. Granted a meal could be a piece of string cheese.

When did you start to feel hunger?

I was wondering this. I don't feel hungry yet at 4 weeks post op. my Surgeon did say that some of the hormone will grow back, but if you follow the plan with 5 small meals you will feel less hungry.
  3. Is the Ricotta Bake on the purred or soft foods. If it is on the pureed do I have to puree it when it comes out of the oven due to the cheese on top? Thanks!

    High protein fudgsicle

sounds yummy - have to try!
  11. agree with all of the above. My guidelines say 30-44 grams a day, no more than 11 at one meal. So if I make lean choices it will be good. I HATE FAT FREE CHEESE! I do not mind reduced fat, so I have switched to that.

    70 pounds

I feel like I am going to be a slow loser. I have lost 13 pounds in the 2 weeks since surgery, but I know that will slow down. If this time next year I am at goal maintaining, I will be happy.

Problem eating phase 3 puree food

i just started the purees yesterday, my surgery was 3/30. I find if I take small bites, and eat about 4 oz over an hour I seem to do okay. I had a hernia too. The first 2 days were clearly the worst of all.
  14. start with the food diary. I always thought I was eating much less. Weight loss is calories in vs calories out, sleeve or not.
