  1. @@Rogofulm Well thanks for referring me to that article! It sure helps to know the "why" behind the stall.

    Hit 100+ !

@@blondebomb You look good! Losing weight gives you your youthful look back! Don't you feel like now you look like you are supposed to look? I can't hardly wait to get to that point!

    Still on the fence

@@blondebomb Thank you so much for responding. I am glad you are doing well. I was diagnosed in 1990 and have had no organ involvement, but lots of flare-ups with pain and fatigue. I take my plaquenil all at once, 400mg before bed. Unfortunately I am on prednisone at this time, but it is not hurting my weight loss so far, though I am in the dreaded 3rd week stall. Anyway, thanks again for your response! I have hope!

    Still on the fence

I too, have lupus. I have been trying to find someone on here who has it. I am 3 weeks post-op. I'm on prednisone, plaquenil and other prescription drugs for headaches besides the multi-Vitamins, Calcium citrate, prilosec, ursidiol, and others. I was wondering, if you take any of these medications now, or if you are now off of any of your lupus meds. I am just wondering if I can look forward to finally being off of some of them. Thank you.

    I am so ready...

Good Luck to You! You'll be glad you did it!
  6. Well let me tell you, they had me up 17 pounds after surgery! It took me a week and a day to get back to surgery weight. It was pretty easy with only taking in fluids and walking every two hours while I was awake. I was at 3 weeks post yesterday and I am down 17 pounds from morning of surgery. So, 34 pounds lost since surgery. The weight comes off! Now in the dreaded (I didn't believe it) 3 week stall!
  7. Considering you are only 18 pounds away from your goal I would say you are doing GREAT! You want your final pounds to come of a little slower so you can have time to firm and tone. I bet you are feeling really good! Congratulations girl!

    3 days post op

Soup, ICE CREAM, and yogurt? Wow, in the hospital? My doctor allowed Water, ice chips, broth, sugar free Jello and sugar free fruit juice. Ice cream, I would think, is a big "no no." Do you have any food restrictions? I was on full liquids for two weeks, followed by pureed foods for two weeks and then I can move on to soft foods (meaning anything that my fork can pass through) after two more weeks. She takes her patients very slow. I'm glad you are doing well!
  9. Chronic migraines here. I was told that the weight loss may help lessen the frequency. Hope so! Will eliminate the need for some of the medications. I am so tired of all of the medications I have to take for this and that! How are you dealing with it?
  10. Good luck with your surgery. Maybe we can talk later.

    Anyone in Iowa?

Happy surgery day! I hope it went well! Had mine on Feb 25 with Dr. L! Friend me if you come back here!
  12. I was told the same thing, but low and behold, when I woke up I had a cup of ice chips and a cup of Water with a straw in it! And I thought I couldn't have anything to drink after surgery.

    Gained weigh during surgery

I was sleeved on Feb 25. Went in weighing 282 and left 299! A whopping 17 lbs of Fluid pumped into me for 2 days! I was told "the doctor must of thought I needed it." Okay, well whatever. I am now down to 276. I am glad to be losing weight. I am following orders and I will continue to be motivated and inspired.
