I haven't been on here for months and that was probably a mistake.
So... eating is not "fun" any more. I can't lay around and just gorge on Snacks. Or can I? Turns out I can! If I eat my current Snacks of choice: Wheat Thins, popcorn or chocolate covered peanuts. I can eat an entire box of Wheat Thins in a matter of minutes.
If I stick to the rules, good Protein first, then green veggies, then good carbs... I can't eat more than a few bites of good Protein. However, I don't want good protein. I want to eat something I can mindlessly shove in my face. I never thought we could really gain much weight, but I have put on 10 lbs over the past 3 months.
AM: Premier Protein shake / 8 oz coffee / Water
LUNCH: cheese stick / wheat thins
PM: Protein with family dinner
SNEAK/SNACK: chocolate covered peanuts or tortilla chips with melted cheese or small dish of ice cream
I walk (brisk) 30 min / day at a minimum. I am seeing an eating disorder specialist.
Anyone else struggling???

Giving something up? Or doing something?
We received a 40 chapter book from church at Christmas, so I may try to read a chapter per day. I *need* to give up sweets or commit to a liquid reset. Oh, the possibilities!
What are you doing?

I would like to hit goal weight, but I'm not going to decide success or failure based on that number.
Goal - More time being present, less time hiding in my bedroom reading. I have missed enough of my 9-year-old's life due to selfish behaviors. Also my step-son is graduating HS this year so we have to get ready for graduation.
Goal - Physical fitness: Just started a 10-week kickboxing boot camp. Two days down
I have many want-to-do goals, but I want to focus on these two for now.
Happy 2016!

I love cottage cheese with applesauce (no added sugar) with a dash of cinnamon. It looks disgusting but is delicious!

Thank you!

Days 2 and 3 were the worst for me. I had serious buyers remorse!
-
Don't do it. You will find you can gorge yourself and never feel full on this stuff. Keep it clean

I was a sugar fiend over the holidays. Absolutely ridiculous as I used to be able to take or leave candy/cookies. Since sugar doesn't fill me up, I could self-sabotage/self-medicate myself just like the good ol' days. Luckily I only gained one pound.
Fast forward to 2016. I have removed all temptations from my home and never have a problem behaving at work. I am increasing my Water intake and re-introducing resistance training to an increased exercise routine.
Also, I start seeing a food addiction specialist next Monday.

I'm in - thanks for doing this!
Starting weight: 199
Goal weight: 187

-
FINAL: 198 / 10 lbs away from holiday goal, but that was a pretty aggressive goal

@@agalindo17 Looking good!
I am struggling BIG TIME with sugar consumption and overall healthy eating. I've lost 104 so far, but if I don't get a handle on this now, I see bad things in my future.
The vets on the board that say they can't have more than a bite or two of stuff -- I am not having this issue. Of course if I eat GOOD Protein I fill up quickly. I've learned that I can shovel bad carbs in like I have a normal sized stomach.
Just venting and looking for guidance from my fellow March Sleevers!
Thanks and like agalindo17 said, Happy New Year and Happy New You!

Following to hear good advice!

I gained 3 lbs over Thanksgiving as well. I feel like I'm in such a rut and am getting frustrated with my s-l-o-w progress the past 3 months. Some days it's hard to remain positive - even though I/we have come so far!

12/7/15 = 199 lbs
Thank you!

We've got this. Right? We didn't go through the he** of the pre-op diet and surgery recovery to gain a ton of weight back. We did it to get our lives back. Thank you for responding to me and sharing your stories and support. I need this. <3
