Keep an eye out for a new SIPS/SADI forum! I contacted the admin and he said he would start one specifically for us.

Hello everyone, I am writing from my hospital bed 1 day post-op. Yesterday was tough due to the effects of anesthesia. I really wasn't in much pain but nauseous and really tired. I literally slept all day. Just felt like I couldn't keep my eyes open. Was able to get a little walking in late last night once I was able to stay awake for a while. I second everyone's comments regarding walking. It really makes ALL the difference in getting the gas out. I'm feeling much better today. Just got back from my GI test and was told my pouch looked superb! Currently awaiting orders from my surgeon to begin liquids. Thanks for the well wishes from everyone and I will keep you posted!

I agree wholeheartedly, however, on another support site there were two individuals that no matter what the person said they would respond harshly and negatively on every aspect of the procedure. One of the responses I had here was literally a cut and paste from the other site which contained false information. I don't mind contructive discussions or even if someone disagrees, but I draw the line on spreading fear from non-fact checked information.
One quick edit: You can call me out, and maybe it is a sensitivity thing, but I don't think on a WLS support site you should have to defend your surgery type decision, especially once you've already done it.

@kingcake You basically are a carnivore when you do the SADI or SIPS. Because of the malabsorption you are required to get 80-100 grams of protein/day and you will need to take Vitamins that are higher in ADEK (I use Celebrate). I take 3 of the Multi (high ADEK)/day, Calcuim with D3 3x/day, pepcid 2x/day, Iron with C 2x/day, and B12 weekly.
I imagine like pre-op doctors are differ in their regimine this was mine.
Days 1-3 (once I was cleared with the swallow test) Clear liquids. Water, broths, Jello, SF pops
Days 4 - 14 Full liquids - cream Soups, cream of wheat or rice, yogurt, part skim ricotta, cottage cheese, pudding, unsweetened apple sauce
Days 14 - 30 - Soft foods - can be cut easily with a fork or spoon, cheese, deli meat, ground meats, chicken, fish, eggs, tuna
Day 31 on - Regular diet
