Barbee, I was banded November 30th and was on liquids for the first week, graduating slowly to mushies and by the end of week two will be able to introduce real food. I am scared and excited at the same time! I am soo worried about eating too much and stretching, slipping, etc. My port site gives me a lot of problems when I bend over... I am short with little room in by big belly area.. Anybody else have this problem or suggestions. -

I was banded on the 30th, does that count? I am doing o.k. This liquid thing is pretty difficult, but not much more time. My incisions are still somewhat swollen, but o.k. I go back to the dr. on 12/19 and don't know that a fill will be considered or not. I am just concentrating on getting in enough liquids. Is anyone exercising yet. I am only one week post op and wondering when I can get on a treadmill... -

I will try the slim fast. That just fills me up sooo fast. 800 calories seems impossible right now to me. -

I was banded 30th... Can you tell me how much liquid you are taking in? I am trying to go back to work tomorrow. The biggest problem seems to be the gas in my upper abdomen. I feel full and am afraid to keep taking in fluids. I'm not taking in very much at all. Any advice!:help:

I am trying to go back to work tomorrow, but the gas really is killing me. Everything I intake gives me gas. Coffee did not go well at all. And I love my coffee. I will get some gas-x, right now I am taking mylanta. I intend to try using extra strength tylenol today, but don't have any liquid. I hope capsules will go down o.k. -

I was banded on the same date at about the same time, but my dr. requires to stay overnight. That was o.k. though. Gave me a little more time to work out the soreness. I would love to have someone to compare stories with. Are you having gas issues? I -

I am two days out. Surgery was on 11/30/07. I am still real sore and trying to make sure that I am OK. I'm not even sure which incision is the port site. Is that the largest incision?
