    Spin Class

I LOVE spinning!! I have purchased a gel seat at Walmart ($10). You will be sore the first couple classes. Don't be afraid to stand up during the class even if the instructor is not telling you to. Spinning is great because you get to determine how hard you work! Just make sure you adjust your calories for the day of the class.

    Is anyone freezing?

I am 5 weeks out and have noticed a difference. I keep a jacket at work now, where before I could wear sleeveless shirts to work in the winter time. It must be the changes our bodies are going through. Its nice I don't sweat as much when I am working out!

    Discouraged

I am 5 weeks out. I stalled at about 1 and 1/2 weeks. I felt good, started to change the food I ate, and I stalled. I was also pretty active. I started to track EVERYTHING. Once I did this a couple weeks the scale started to move. I do try really hard to make good food choices, for example, egg whites over a whole egg, laughing cow cheese over regular cheese, I stay away from sugar and carbs, and I always eat my Protein first. I realize that you are further out than me, but I was getting discouraged as well. Maybe switching up your food choices may help. Good luck!!!!

    Meat 7 days out?

I am 10 days out and have been CRAVING real food. I do realize that it is "head hunger", I don't feel hungry. The broth is just not satisfying me. I was able to add in cream of potato Soup and I ate a bit of very thin refried Beans today. I do find that I am full very, very quickly. I will say that I am looking forward to eating "real" food.
  5. I am 9 days post op and feel great! I have had NO problems getting my protein and liquids in. I returned to work full time one week after my surgery. I am sleeping well and very alert during the day. I am enjoying the "sleeved" life! I am having a hard time still taking it easy so I heal completely. Since surgery I am down 12 pounds, and on the pre-op diet I lost 10. I have been so thankful I have chosen this road so far!

    March Sleevers

Tomorrow is the day! I am looking forward to starting this journey! This site has provided a lot of info for me. Thank you to everyone for sharing. I have been out of town for business the last couple days and have not stuck to the pre op diet 100%. I have only ate lean meat and veggies. I am proud of myself for staying away from fried foods, carbs, and sweets. Even though I have not been perfect, I am making better choices. I have found that getting in my H2O helps a LOT with staying full!

    Cheater cheater, pumpkin pie eater

I was not required to do a three week diet, only a two week one. I choose to start early so I could get into the hang of it. I have slipped up a couple times. Nothing crazy, just not on my plan. I do think it is important to follow what our Drs have given us to follow, but as mentioned before, we are human. mistakes will happen! Forgive and move on, try to do better. I will say I have lost about 12 pounds over the last couple weeks ???? since I am seeing the scale move it does make me more motivated!! Good luck!!!

    March Sleevers

At this time next week I will be "sleeved"! I am looking forward to it! I have next week off work for spring break, my kiddos are gone, and my husband has taken a few days off work. My plan is to rest, rest, and rest! I keep trying to envision everything going well, no complications, and sailing through this!

    March Sleevers

Hello All! My surgery date is March 23rd, two weeks from today! I did part of the pre-op last week to get in the mindset. I have 2 weeks of the pre-op, this includes: 3 proteins a day, 4 cups of veggies, 1 dairy. Today has not been too bad, there have been a couple times I felt hungry, I drank some water and it went away. I am looking forward to this surgery and even the recovery. I have been encouraged by the amount of people that are glad they had the surgery! Good luck March sleevers!!! ????
  10. I am scheduled for March 23rd. I start my liver shiring diet on March 9th. This past week i have been watching what I eat and working on incorporating more veggies into my diet. I have lost almost 3 pounds this week. I am looking forward to being on the other side of the surgery and seeing the changes! Good Luck to All!!!
