  6. @@tanichaphillips hi im almost 6 months out and i actually put on 2 lbs this week and this is due to TOM, i have struggled for about 2 weeks with no real loss. Having said all that, i know this is my own fault and i recognise that, i do not eat or drink "enough" to lose the weight and im working on changing it, its not easy but i know this is the key to losing it. Are you eating / drinking enough? Calorie intake should be around 1000 i believe - someone pls correct me if i'm wrong!

  9. @@liannatx do you have the cuppaccino flavor with milk or Water? I am curious as i miss my coffee but i cant drink that much milk otherwise it sends me running and i would love to find a replacement for it but don't want to hand over that much money if i cant drink it.
  10. ok reporting in for the Cookies and cream flavor .. and I can honestly tell you this is YUMMMMMMMY!!! I love it, I know this is a flavor I definitely will be buying again, its not overly sweet like the cookie dough, I think its got the balance right with the sweetness on this. Has some "crunch" in it along with the softness of the Quest type bars. I will be trying other flavors once im done with these two boxes lol and I will report in but having said that .. I believe cookies and cream will be a staple!

    Need to vent

Firstly i am truly very sorry for your loss. Secondly the symptoms you mention, re being tight one day and different the next is similar to what was occurring to me when I had the band. I gave up on my band and stopped going in for a fill as all i was feeling was this. I was finally forced to go back to my surgeon to see whats going on. Well i wish i had done it sooner, i had a gastroscopy and it was found that I had formed a pouch above the band which was causing the strange tight one day, and oooh so very loose the next! I had the band removed and was sleeved 10 wks later as the band failed. Please try and go back to see your surgeon and get this looked into. I wish you all the best with your weight loss journey xox
  12. I have been open and honest with the people around me that matter the most to me (hope that makes sense). For those around me that are just acquaintances, i haven't said anything, however if they ask, i will let them know. Having said all that, i lost my job a month before my surgery last year. I have taken time off to recover and re-charge as i also had my gallbladder removed 3 months after my sleeve. In total i have been unemployed for 6 months, i just started looking for work last week. I went for an interview on Monday, and the company is very keen to have me join them, however it dawned on me that no one there knew me when i was huge at 383lbs, no one there knows i had problems walking for so many years, no one knows i have Lymphoedema and all i could wear on my feet were flip flops as all other forms of shoes were painful, no one knows I've had WLS! Do i tell them? Does it affect the way that i can work? No! Im at a crossroad and really don't think i should, as i can now walk without any assistance, i fit into a chair comfortably, my Lymphoedema is almost non existent and i can wear normal shoes!! I personally don't think i want to advertise it, should something happen, then and only then will i share that info. Best of luck to you with whatever you decide to do, i wish i was in your shoes as i would love to tell the whole world, but reality kicks in and tells me that for me that's probably not a wise decision.
  13. Dr Stephen Blamey @ Cabrini Hospital /Victoria AUSTRALIA. Excellent care from Stephen for the many years i have known him. We initially met 2009 and in 2010 he was the surgeon i chose to be banded with. He removed my band in 2014 due to complications and i had the vertical sleeve gastrectomy done by Stephen 10 weeks later. I fully entrust my life with this man.

    Venting About Poor Forum Etiquette

Sorry to read that you feel so strongly about forum etiquette on a forum where people are meant to come together to support one another for their weight loss surgery issues. The last thing most people are thinking/worried about is "omg did i spell that right? OR omg I should have used a comma" (just examples). Has it occurred to you that maybe, people are used to using text lingo because they may be using the mobile app and as such it's a lot easier to do? As well as other reasons given by other posters ie some people are not computer savvy, english being second language etc. I personally think that you are sweating the small stuff, if these little things bother you "that" much, maybe take a little break from the internet and go for a walk, get some air /shrug.
  18. My delivery came today and first flavour I'm trying is the choc chip cookie dough and oh my goodness its good, sweet, but good!! So if you have a sweet craving , this would be one flavour to try! This would definitely nip that craving in the butt????. Tomorrow i will be trying Cookies and cream, will report in tomorrow on what thats like . Oh and both flavours have 21g Protein. I got mine from vitacost.com they have free shipping in the US, im in Australia, shipping was 15.99 ????

    5 months out...

Im in a very similar situation as the OP, and yes i am definitely not drinking enough fluids! I will be trying to force myself to drink more. Also my surgeon wouldn't classify this as starvation mode for me personally as i still have a lot of fat on my body to burn off as im only half way done, and i know its due to lack of water intake.

    Easter's Challenge

Good morning, 275 again /sigh i need to drink more water to help flush my system! Anywho, thank you Susan for updating the spreadsheet.
  21. You look simply amazing!! You go girl!!!
  22. Wish unjury was available here in Australia /sigh. Back to topic i recently received Syntrax Nectar - fuzzy navel flavour and i like it a lot! Tastes like a watered down orange juice. It mixes well with water which is why i decided to try this as I'm lactose intolerant since being sleeved.

    Everyone exercises?

I have pretty bad knees and all i can manage at the moment is walking, i dont think ill ever be a gym type of person. I walk outdoors as well as on my treadmill on days when its miserable outside. I received a fitbit for Christmas and i absolutely love it. It motivates me to get up and go for a walk. Theres a few threads on here where people have added one another as fitbit friends, if you end up getting one also, join in, we would all love you and anyone else who wants to join us to join in on the fun! Its honestly a wonderful non invasive motivational tool to help you get your fitness on track. Always have to remember, go at your own pace and take it one step at a time
