  1. What a relief it is knowing I'm not the only one like this. Its almost to a T! I consume about 4-5 small meals\snack. I also am hungry often and have intense acid reflux so I'm thinking that could be it. I had my surgery on 3/31/15 and was at 222 I am at 200 even today and I am about 8 weeks post op. I think I hit a stall last week because I've stayed at 200 last week and this week. I am at about 800 or a little less some days, of calories as well. I am seeing the difference so its still a happy outcome, just wish it could speed up just a little, lol! Good luck and keep me posted how you are doing in the future. ☺

  2. @@purrfctangel our situations mirror each others! I seriously can eat ANYTHING!!! I hate it!! My restrictions s are super slow to react, so it feels like I can get In a lot of food before it actually restricts! I'm stuck at 200 exactly right now. Before surgery I was at 227 on surgery day I was at 222 and am now at 200. I hope that I start getting restrictions sooner and am able to get a handle on it cause it is really discouraging! GL!!

  3. Thank you so much @@TammyDTM you are right! You know during my hour lunch I eat the 1st half hour and then spend the 2nd half walking. I do squats in the restroom during my other breaks just to get some movement and you are so right! I do feel good about myself after doing it. I do need to start incorporating that into my time at home as well. Thank you! Sometimes I think all a person needs is that reassurance and nudge to try harder. Thank you! ????

  4. I had my surgery March 31st and am feeling like I am at such a loss as to if I'm doing things right, am I eating correctly, if I'm losing fast, slow, normal... I would just really love to have someone who was sleeved around the same time who can compare notes with me. I have been posting all over on these blogs but haven't been able to get any feedback from anybody. I was sleeved the 31st of March, I'm 5'5 and had a SW of 229, after pre op diet, day of surgery I was 222, I am 7 weeks post op and weigh 202lbs. People can see the difference, I can see a slight difference, but haven't really even been able to do any new shopping because my inches in my waist have not gone down at all. I'm frustrated.... I feel like at least I'm losing which is a far cry then before the surgery, it just feels so disconcerning to not see those inches in the waist go down. I also ALWAYS feel hungry, very different from just WANTING to eat something because I can differentiate from the 2, my stomach is always growling. I drink tons of Water, take all my Vitamins, get in my Protein. I don't get much exercising in due to long work hours right now, but have plans if signing up for some sort of Aerobics class. Any advice, tips, info, compared notes, or inspiring stories would be very much welcome and appreciated!

  5. Per day? @@CharlotteWebb

So you are losing about 7-14 a week? I'm losing about 2 lbs a week! Ive been asking and asking all over these blogs to try and get some advice or insight to this. I would LOVE to know by most others experiences if I'm losing slow, regular etc.? I feel like its slow and I feel like I am able to consume a lot before restrictions happen. Any and all advice is welcome....PS-229 DOS-222 (7)WEEKS POST OP-202, I am 36 years of age and 5'5

  6. So I am 7 weeks post op and have lost a total of 28 lbs, but that is pre - op and post op! If I'm counting only post op then my number would be 22lbs in 7 weeks. I'm averaging about 2lbs a week, which is in the right direction but just feels so so slow! I am not doing any strenuous exercise but I am walking a lot. I drink my Protein and eat my protein. However, it feels like my sleeve doesn't restrict me as early as it should. In the mornings I can eat an entire bowl of cream of wheat at one time and am hungry again within 2 hours! I take all of my Vitamins like I should and am very consciences of what I'm consuming. I do feel like "how much" I'm consuming could be an issue but I'm still only getting about 8-900 calories a day. Any advice from anybody? Am I making a big deal of nothing or do I really have good reason to be worrying right now? Just dont want it to turn into a bigger problem later.... So any and all advice welcome!

  7. Oh gosh, @JaimieLogical you just made me feel 100 times better!! I am just a few days past my 3 week mark and this whole time I have felt the same as crazyffhfan! Water goes rite through and I'm ALWAYS hungry!! I was starting to worry. I did start my semi-solids yesterday night and I did feel that restriction at the end, I think, almost like "if I put another bite in my mouth I'm going to vomit" feeling?

  8. My husband was very supportive of me having the surgery, and "all that went with it". He started to eat healthier, he opted to join the health club with me, has bragged about my weight loss thus far and took me shopping. However, when the real work begins is when he starts getting all attitude! He wants to go visit friends and I need to get the small amount of food in that I can have and I can't rush it, yet here he is like an impatient child waiting for me to finish eating. I get nauseous and sick on a day we have plans and next thing you know he is arguing with me about it! I am trying to re-assure him that once I get to about 2 months post op I should have a pretty good handle on my diet and food intake and schedule but until then things can just be up in the air from time to time, which he "says" he understands till the day comes when it actually happens and then I feel like I'm dealing with my sons toddler years all over again!!! SMH!!! OK sorry, rant over but just needed to vent.

  9. I'm having the exact same issue! Just not sure how much to eat how often during this stage?? I'm 3 weeks out on Tuesday. I had my surgery on 3/31 and am so confused as to how much to eat and how often. Any suggestions welcome! My surgeon also approved me for soft foods so that's what I'm eating right now till my appointment next week.

  10. Hi!! So ur Jennibean! ???? How has things been going for u? I've been feeling pretty good, can't wait to get the Ok to get into the gym! I too have been having an issue with the Protein. I fill up on stuff like cream of wheat, egg salad, cottage cheese, just anything with protein in it, but am finding that with not being able to even eat a full serving I'm not getting even close to the amount that my body needs, so this payday I'm ordering some Unjury as well. I hope it will help. I'm also only getting about 1/2 of the Water intake I'm supposed to have, maybe 3/4 on a good day. So trying to get that figured out as well. It's tough because in the same breath I'm being told to not drink anything within a half hour of eating and then also being told I'm going to feel like I'm literally eating all day long. I'm just struggling with portion sizes and when to eat when not to eat... All that kind of stuff. How about your diet, how's that going for u?

  11. @@MrsG'sjourney I know EXACTLY the feeling you are describing. I have it too. I was sleeves March 31st and the only thing I can say is it slowly is getting better. I've read that a lot of people have said that the feeling we both have is just how we have to get used to our individual sleeve, IDK, it sure does suck though! I have been noticing since I'm onto soft foods that it isn't quite as bad anymore. I hope it lightens up for you!! GL! ????
