I'm 10 weeks out and last week my husband took me out to dinner for my birthday and I had 2 glasses of pinot grigiot. I can honestly say I should have stopped at one. The second made me loopy. Nothing affected me negatively health wise but I just don't want to get sick or drunk.

You look beautiful and healthy! What an inspiration. I started at the same weight and am 5'7". I am just about at the halfway point and you're inspiring me to get through the next half. How long did it take you to lose @@bellabloom? Did you do a lot of exercise? I'm just walking 4x a week right now and am slowly gearing up to start adding real workouts now that I finally feel like my energy level has come back. I'm 9 weeks out and am 203lbs. I was sleeved may 21st. Thanks for sharing!Found a photo of me from last year today. I don't think I look a thing like my old self. It's so weird it's like I was wearing someone else's body back then.
Start 250 size 20

Birthday party aftermath: 206

Hi everyone. I was sleeved may 21st. Hope everyone's doing well as we move into our third month! My surgery weight was 231 and today I am 204. Not as much as I'd hoped but better than nothing! Today was my very first cheat day as we celebrated my birthday. I had some small tastes of food I haven't had in soooo long, including a glass of wine. I also had a small slice of ice cream cake. I don't feel bad or guilty. I know that tomorrow I'll be back to my normal regimen.

How much weight has everyone lost?
I was sleeved may 26th and I'm 6 weeks and a few days out. I haven't been able to exercise at all due to the lump I've had on my left side which has been so painful from the start and I've been told not to exercise till the pain has gone.
I feel like this has slowed down my weight lost. I still walk when I can.
Pre op diet 274
Day of surgery 267
Today 232
Total of 42 pounds.
Feels like it should be more!

@@Mulepick Did you change anything to get it to move again? I'm in a stall too and am so frustrated. Finally broke through an almost 3 week stall and have lost 3# in two days. Hoping it keeps up.

I'm so frustrated! I was sleeved 5\21. For two weeks the scale has been hovering. It stays still or would go up one pound one day then back down the next. I'm so worried that it won't move again. I'm getting in between 900-1000 calories a day. Drinking lots of Water and getting about 70-100g Protein daily. Walking 3-5xs a week. Any suggestions?

Thank you for posting this. I was starting to think there was something wrong with me. I'm 6 weeks out and am at a stall for 2 weeks where I'm hovering at the same 20lb loss give or take a pound every couple of days. this morning I weighed myself and was up a pound from the previous time I weighed myself and I have not cheated, have been walking daily and am getting my minimum of Protein. I briefly thought to myself, I had my stomach cut out, if I don't lose any more weight I'll be devastated. Does anyone have any advice on how I can get the scale moving again? I don't want to break mentally. I was a 39 bmi when I started and was 231lbs at the time of surgery. I was 212 this morning. Thanks.Okay. Here's a little reality check.
The lower the BMI, the slower you will lose. Those of you with 40 or below BMI as a rule will not lose as much weight the first month as those of you with 40 or higher BMI.
Males lose faster than us gals. Fact. Infuriating, but true.
You will not lose 20 or 30 pounds every month. After the initial fast weight loss month or so, it stabilizes to more "normal" losses. 2-5 lbs a week. Then as you get closer to your goal, it's more like 2-5 a MONTH.
Don't compare yourself to others. There are just too many variables to what a normal rate is for weight loss. Any weight lost is a victory. And from what I've seen here, you all are winners!

I weighed 231 at the time of my surgery and I'm 213 5 weeks out now so I've lost a total of 18lbs since surgery. I had lost 19 on my post op diet so total loss is 37lbs.

Yesterday was 5 weeks post op for the new me! My NSV is that I went from a size 20w (and they were getting tight! ) to today where I'm wearing a size 16w shorts that are fitting comfortably!

Your sunglasses keep falling off your face because they are too loose! Never would have imagined!

You look fantastic! I'm shocked that so much came off so quickly for you! I started at 250 and am 5'7. Did you lose a lot prior to surgery? Have you worked out a lot? What was your keys to success? I'm so inspired by your success!I started at 250 six months ago and am 8 pounds from goal weight of 130. I'm 5'6

It's common during the first few days not to see any scale movement. You've just had major surgery. Concentrate on healing and following the plan your Dr. gave you and don't worry about the scale for a while! There is definitely swelling from the procedure.Ok
did you swell at first, so that it appeared you had not lost anything? Just had mine done 3 days ago, scale hasn't moved yet :-(I'm at the beginning of my journey but still can already see progress being made! Just over 4 weeks post op and down 15lbs from date of surgery and 35 lbs down since beginning Preop diet in April!

I haven't seen dark chocolate protein pudding? Is there a brand name that sells that?Dark chocolate Protein pudding, chocolate Protein Shakes, chocolate calcium chews, chocolate protein bars...I haven't had many days without chocolate since surgery.
-
This happened to me for the first time earlier this week (I'm 4 weeks post op) and I immediately stopped eating and walked away from my plate and kept walking until I felt better in about 2 minutes
-
Forgive me men, but I need the ladies ears for a moment!
I'm 4 weeks post op and am dealing with my first real pms cravings. I want chocolate! What do you veterans do to stifle your cravings? Tonight I mixed a tbsp of organic Peanut Butter and Sugar Free Chocolate pudding and that seemed to kill it. When is it safe to eat even a small square of dark chocolate? That used to be my go to before surgery!

Hi there, I was sleeved 5/21 and am doing pretty well. I'm learning that fro-yo and tuna cause immediate trips to the bathroom and that I need to really really work hard to eat over 70g of Protein a day now and drink enough Water. I do love my results so far and can't wait to see where I am 4 wks from now!
Beginning weight : 250lbs
Day of Surgery: 231 lbs
Current weight: 214 lbs

I'm a little over 4 weeks and am usually between 550-750 for the last week.

I agree his bedside manner was just ok. But my surgery went without complications so that's all I could ask for!
