Dang, that's hard. I can eat 20 g in one bite

Found a new protein bar I like

It's probably good because it has hardly any protein in it...

    BMI 31-32

Don't take laxatives, you will dehydrate yourself at a critical time. I didn't follow the recommended pre op diet until the day before...well not even that, 10 hours before my surgery I took a sleeping pill and sleep ate 2 candy bars from the hotel fridge. I was the first to get surgery the next day, not a word was said and no complications. I am not suggesting this is a good idea, however, don't worry so much. Get good eating habits before and you will be a better success after

    BMI 31-32

BMI of 29 and went for it, sick of being fat my whole life. The one and only negative I have is the 24/7 GERD. It's not all roses, but much easier to lose weight

    Fear of STRETCHING Sleeve!

Stretching you shouldn't worry about, you should worry about polishing a large size snack bag of Cheetos off in one sitting without filling a thing. So easy to still eat crap on the sleeve, not so much stretching it

    Clothing size

I find myself feeling a bit defensive LOL since you put size 4's in quotes! I guarantee you I am a 4 in almost everything I pull off the rack any brand. Want me to send pic of the labels? Jk mostly but feeling a bit hurt! Sorry I wasn't trying to attack anyone, just a tad suspicious..I believe you I believe you, maybe I am just jealous of y'all size 4 skinny biatches
  9. I have the nastiest thunder cottage cheese thighs, and flapping arms. Realistically, what shoul I do here?

    Double booked!?

Mine was an assembly line, there were 5 people at the same time. They prep you for surgery, and the cutting begins. One after the other. It was Mexico though....

    Clothing size

Reading this, figuring dress size is a bit misleading. I have a lower BMI than some of these 'size 4s' but I couldn't squeeze my wide rear and childbearing hips into a size 10 if my life depended on it. I wear a loose 14, down from a tight 16

Dr. Ariel Ortiz at the OCC

I saw plenty of people that were there alone, you will be fine. Bring som cash you can trade for pesos at the hotel, you are pretty much expected to tip everywhere. Also, everyone knows about the gasx strips- but the best thing I ever had post surgery was coconut water. I wouldn't of gotten fluids in without it.
  13. oh i want to add, bulemia doesnt fix it either, When your body gets the influx of food, it is already setting into motion the release of insulin, when you purge the food, it turns the insulin to fat! it had to do more with how your body handles sugar, and less about what actually gets digested
  14. Oh I agree with the fat cell theory, the last place I gained weight as a kid was my arms, when I lost for a short time it went away, but the very first place it came back was my fat a$$ arms. Easier to store fat in an existing fat cell than make a new one
  15. That's an interesting calculator, wonder how accurate it is. But even 4k, would still be hard. She had gastric bypass, which you also have to factor in the limited absorbtion. Someone should put a 24hr cam on her... See what she eats... 4science
  16. I was painfully aware of starvation mode, so much so I physically forced myself 1000 calories a day just 4 days after surgery. I didn't want to teach my body it was ok to hang onto the fat WHAT!?!?!? ACK! I couldn't eat 1000 calories for at least 6 months. Be careful.[/quoteI am a lot taller than you, 1000 cals is nothing now, I really try to keep it under 1200 though
  17. The doctor always chews them out that they are eating 15000 cal just to maintain. I'm not saying these ladies are eating salads, I just can't wrap my head around the fact that they are eating the same huge portions. The same activity, yes. Body is hanging on to the fat.

  19. Well of course metabolism is a huge factor, but it doesn't add up. You look at that show my 600 lbd life, penny for example, hasn't lost squat, has a tiny stomach and can sustain her current weight of 600 lbs, according to food science, she had to eat 150000 cals just to maintain. It would be physically impossible to eat that much with her stomach. I doubt her metabolism slowed down after surgery, she had always been in bed. She is an extreme example, but it applies to a lot of us. Science should study all of us.
  20. I take a certain brand of ADD med, and have been taking for 13 years now. Never had an issue, until after surgery. It doesn't work anymore! I though sleeve didn't affect the whole absorption deal...anyone have any ideas? I've tried chewing those little buggers for mucosal absorbtion, but it's too icky and doesn't last.

Am I going through STARVATION MODE?!

Starvation mode is real, your metabolic rate drops and you lose energy. get those fatty protein shakes that are a good 450 cals, that will keep your body from freakin the f out

    really struggling

I caved into the cravings, and threw up this lovely assortment of McDonald's garbage. I caved in and had some Wendy's. I caved in and had lots of crap. Each and every time I caved, I would be barfing into a cup until my throat was burning. Nasty. I don't like those foods anymore. If you think having some greasy food is gonna make you better, think again. I was bad and only sated on the liquid/purée for 10 days, then went on to eggs and beans, and seafood. I don't regret it, just regret the naughty stuff. Your body will tell you what you should have
  23. Diabetes won't kill me now, but the GERD might
