    Anyone into mountain bikes ?

I bought a new bike 6 weeks ago! I love to ride now that my arse isn't too big for the seat. I am up to riding 3-4 times a week, and gone up to 20 miles a trip. I average 8-10 on week nights. But ride farther on the weekends. Feels great to be riding again. I have all sorts of new energy now, and really need to continue working on toning away the excess from weight loss. I don't want surgery to tighten anything when I get to goal! I had my longest stall right before I bought my bike. Took a few, but the weight started coming off again - great decision!

    Shoe Sizes Post Op

I have gone down a shoe size. At work I kicked my shoe across the room, realized it was time to go shoe shopping. It happens. I went from an 11 down to a ten!

    2 and 1/2 months out

Are you getting in your daily liquid intake? I stall ever time I have a hard time getting to proper amount of fluids. Stalls came when I was reincorporating food and fluids fell to way side. Only other advice I can give is walk regularly and take your Vitamins. It really helps! Good luck on your weight loss. Hope this helps even a little bit.
  4. So I was sleeved on 2/11/15 and have done phenomenal following the Dr's directions! I am drinking fluids, prioritizing proteins, and doing everything I can to head in the right direction, including daily exercise! The last few days have been REALLY difficult, I have been getting the munchies and want to snack all afternoon and evening! I am doing good at keeping healthy choices around, but I really don't want this habit to come back....any suggestions? I know as activity levels increase you body is wanting more, but when I eat meals it's only a little bit here and there! Anyone else having the same challenges? Does it go away again?

February Sleevers - how are you doing?

Healthiswise - congrats! I had surgery on 2/11 SW 271 DOS 259 and CW 219! My journey has been unbelievable, first off I have had no pain or discomfort from surgery, and everything has gone well. I am down 3 pant sizes, and have no clothes that "fit". But I have decided to wait till weight loss slows down. I currently eat about 600 cal a day, but do have a challenge getting all fluids in and eating in the same day, so Protein levels are low! Overall I feel great and am sleeping much better, I even have dreams, which after sleep apnea was rare! My energy levels are up, and am very happy with my decision on VSG! Even if that means I am COLD a lot more often. Keep up the great progress!

    Hungry

Right after surgery I had the the gnawing feeling of hunger, so I thought, after talking to my surgeon it was a version of nausea, which the dissolvable pills I had post op would help with. So after those 10 pills were gone and I periodically would have the same sensation my surgeon got me another prescription. Sorry I don't have the name of it! A couple of weeks later I have learned it comes from my Fluid intake, if I am not drinking enough on a regular basis (I know small sips all day long) then this hunger feeling comes. As of now I can only eat soft puréed foods, so eating a couple of times a day, and always sipping fluids has made the hunger pains stop. Best of luck figuring out what your body is telling you. Everyone is slightly different. Hope this helps a little bit!

    February sleevers

2/11 sleeve date. Been feeling great. Only challenge is getting enough fluids and protein. I am amazingly down 32#s. Cottage cheese and pulverized chicken salad, and cream soups are the soft foods I can tolerate. Been stalled for a few days but not worried yet. I would like to join Facebook page also, even though from this forum I may be the only guy! Email is scperry18@hotmail.com. Thanks!

Sorry kept saying it timed out. Don't know how to delete duplicates.
  12. Confirmed my Sleeve date today, and had my pre-op tests. Now we start the liquid diet - day 1 wasn't too bad. Slightly nervous over this huge change, but ready to move forward. Any advice on getting ready for this journey, and getting through this liquid diet? This will make my scheduled vacation in 3 weeks rather interesting.
