1. My NP said that whatever I could eat at 9-12 months out would probably be my max. I am going to be three years out in May, and she, so far, has been correct. About how much is that?
2. The reason I ask is because I've noticed I can fit more in than I used to. I'm 8 months out and used to get full really fast. I still do! However, I know I can stick a few more things inside before it gets incredibly uncomfortable. I don't put more in as I'm aware of when I need to stop, but that's just why I'm afraid my sleeve has stretched. I think I may need to go to a support group. I don't know anyone else that has had VSG in my area. I'm 20 and in Manhattan but it seems like the people who have gotten it don't really like to speak on it lol
3. Exactly one year ago, I was at my heaviest weight. I have no idea why no one ever told me I was that huge, but I don't think I even saw it myself. While I'm embarrassed to post this, I've never been prouder of myself. I began taking my health seriously in June and have lost 90 pounds since the photo on the left. I'm not yet at my goal but being able to compare two photos taken on the same day, just a year apart, gives me the motivation to keep going. Looking forward to what 2016 has in store I was sleeved June 15th 2015. The photo on the left is Dec 30th 2014 and the right is Dec 30th 2015. I still have a long way to go but I have never been happier nor have I ever been healthier. I have so much more will power to eat better and exercise more. I even enjoy exercising! If you told me I would enjoy that last year, I'd look at you like you were crazy. Unfortunately, I don't see much of a difference from these 2 photos. I'm experiencing a severe case of body dysmorphia where I still see the 288 pound girl but I know it will get better with time.
4. This will be my first Thanksgiving being sleeved! I had my surgery done June 15th, 2015 and started at 288. I'm now at 205. I'm feeling lighter in more ways than just physical. My mood has changed and I am more confident in myself... I'm in such a better place than I was one year ago. I'm wondering how all of you are spending your Thanksgiving? And to those who have been sleeved for more than a year, how is Thanksgiving different than it used to be? I know I won't be overloading my plate this year. I'll also be working 5pm-12am so there won't be time for me to even pig out (not that I would anyway) Enjoy xoxox I look forward to hearing about your Thanksgiving stories and progress in general
5. Thanks for all the replies!!! I love hearing how other people's holiday went. Especially those sleeved like me. I, unfortunately, did not get to celebrate ThanksGiving. I was working all through it (believe it or not we closed at 12am) and Black Friday as well. Once I got home, there was not much food left. Just a small portion which was actually good! I wouldn't have been able to eat like I did last year anyway. Christmas was the same. I didn't each much nor did I miss it. I don't even crave the sweets that gets passed around during dessert. In fact, I kindly declined. I have so much willpower now. I love being sleeved!
6. I was wondering if anyone is paying out of pocket and how that process is going for them?
7. Hi!! I am three months out and am considering getting a breast lift. My mom doesn't think I should get it right now as I am still in the early stages and 19. She says my boobs will get back to normal soon, but I hate the way my breasts look when I'm not wearing a bra. My boobs have shrunk a few sizes down since getting the surgery, but they're still pretty big. I was wondering if anyone else has gotten a breast lift or breast implants? If so, how long did you wait? And how did it all go? This is something I really want as I hate how my boobs aren't the perkiest lol

Hair Loss

3 months out. My hair used to be so long but I cut it shoulder length now and the shedding of hair has dramatically decreased.
9. I'm 4 months out. I will not lie, I have had a cheeseburger. However, I don't eat the bun. I just eat the meat, cheese, lettuce, and tomato. I also don't recommend going to a place a like McDonalds for a burger. If you want one, get real meat, not processed.

I haven't tried pizza yet, but I'm not sure if I even could. Bread doesn't sit well with me anymore since the surgery so I try not to eat it. I have definitely craved pizza though! It's just not worth it for me right now as my tummy hates bread now lol

Any PCOS sleevers?

Me! I was sleeved 4 months ago and my periods are finally no longer irregular! PCOS was definitely a cause for that. Facial hair growth has slowed, but hair on my head has been falling out more regularly which is scary. I am now a size 14 from being a 20. I am now 214 and started out at 288. Good luck to everyone getting their surgery soon!
11. I've lost 74 pounds in 4 months. I started at 288 and am now 214. I think everyone is different. But honestly, in the beginning, I feel the weight doesn't come off as fast as we expect. I was disappointed as well in the first couple of weeks because I felt I wasn't loosing as much. That's just your body getting used to everything. In no time, you'll start seeing faster progress
12. Hi everyone! I was sleeved June 15th and have lost a couple of pounds since then.. Not only that, but I have also lost a lot of health issues! I no longer have anemia, my blood pressure is no longer high, and I'm not at risk for diabetes. I feel so much better physically. I feel that I am in the best shape in my life. Walking is easier. I don't get tired easily at all and don't huff and puff after walking 3 blocks anymore lol!! Here is my progress... April 2014 - highest weight: 288 I unfortunately don't have many photos of my weight during this time as I was embarrassed... I will have to search more, but as for now, that is the best body picture I have. October 2015: - 219 - lowest weight since Freshman yr of HS I am happy with my physical health. However, if I am being honest, my mental health is not the best. My head hasn't yet caught up to my weight loss and I am having severe self esteem issues as well as depression. I know I can get through this though. **Please don't save my photos**

4 Month Progress

Thanks everyone =] I appreciate it. I recently started therapy a week ago so hopefully that will help! I don't think I want to take anti-depression pills though. I'm a little scared of the after affects lol
14. I used to be an avid Cereal eater and after the surgery, I haven't had a bite. I've been pretty good at staying away from old foods that don't have much nutritional value. I am having a HUGE craving for cereal though. Have any of you eaten it since surgery? Would you even recommend to do so?
15. That is so interesting! Perhaps I may be the same way? I just might try that out.
16. That's what I was worried about! -- the whole food and liquid combo. I was thinking about just having some without the milk I like cheerios as well, but my absolute favorite is Fruit Loops. I know those are full of sugar though. I think I'm just going to daydream about the thought of cereal for now lol
17. Hey everyone! I am three months out and feeling amazing. I have so much more energy and don't buff and puff after walking short distances anymore! My health is so much better. My blood pressure went down, I no longer have anemia, and life is just good so far. I started out at 5'0 tall and 288 pounds. I am now... still a shorty but have went down to 228. A total of 60 pounds lost. Of course, I still have a long way to go but I know I can succeed. I can't wait to see where I am another 3 months from now! How is everyone else doing so far? If anyone is 3 months out like me, or close, how have your eating habits been? I've been dying to have some rice or even some potatoes as they're my weakness, but I haven't faltered yet! Lol

Craving

I'm 3 months out and have had soda. I've never drank a whole can, only had sips, and it hurt. To me, it still tastes the same but the carbonation REALLY hurts. It's like a big surprise you weren't expecting.

New York sleevers

I'm from Manhattan... Lost 60 pounds so far and am 3 months out. I wouldn't mind having some new friends that are going through the same as me =]

3 months out...

Congratulations!!! You'll be feeling better in no time.
21. I was wondering the SAME thing!!!! My face has always been clear, but bam!- out of no where, acne monsters came to terrorize one whole side of my face. I've been using moisturizer though and it's almost gone. I just need to keep using it everyday.. but yeah.. nice to know I'm not the only one. I was so depressed lol

All about BOOBS!

Hi all I am now 3 weeks out and feeling pretty good. I am a tattooed / pierced girl and unfortunately, had to take out all my piercings before the day of surgery. The one I am particularly worried about putting back on are my nipple rings. My boobs have already changed sizes. I don't fit in my old bra anymore so I am shrinking. My question is mainly for women who have been sleeved for a bit of time now.... I'm 19 and am not sure whether or not I'll need surgery to get a boob lift just in case they sag? So I'm unsure if I should wait until I hit my goal weight to re-pierce my nipples or just go ahead and continue on living my life. Basically, I'm asking for your opinion on what I should do and how did YOUR boobs change after surgery? Thanks so much in advance!
23. In a few weeks, I'll officially be 2 months and have been having incredible trouble sleeping at a reasonable hour. To be honest, the only thing that helps me fall asleep instantly is a Percocet, but I don't want to rely on them. Am I the only one having this trouble? I'm so sleepy but can't sleep and had a good sleeping pattern before surgery.
