I am being sleeved on the 23rd as well and on my 3rd day of the pre-op liquid diet. I am jealous of the folks that can have a small meal as I am on six unjury shakes a day and that's it. Yesterday was the worst as I had a bad headache but feeling pretty good today. Just gotta keep thinking about the end result to stay motivated. I had Lap-band surgery back in 2006 which had to be removed in the fall of 2014 so I am very excited about my surgery as it has been a struggle to maintain the weight I had lost with the band. I have gained almost 20 lbs in 6 months :-(. Hoping the suffering of the liquid diet will yield some weight loss. Best! Tara

Hey there! I am new to this forum but not new to the WLS community as I had gastric-banding surgery in 2006 which had to be removed earlier this year due to slippage and erosion. I have decided, like so many ex-banders, to be sleeved! My suregery date in 2.23 and I am working to do all the neccessary prep work now. I have read pretty extensively about this procedure and have noticed many post-op posts that state gas is a problem. I am curios what people have taken that has provided the best relief; I know that everyone is different and I might not have this problem but want to prepared. I start my pre-op diet on Monday...excited and sorta dredding this part but I have been through it before. It's only a short bit of time in this long journey...right?!?! Thanks!

Thanks for the replies! I will look for gasx strips as they seem to be the most recommended. I had the gas pain in my shoulders after my lap-band several years ago, so very familiar with walking that pain out :-). Thanks again!
