  1. That's probably the problem; you're not eating enough. Talk to your bariatric nurse/dietitian, but most post op diets are around 1200/day, with Protein first, lots green veggies, Beans, etc.. If I eat less than 1100-1200, I plateau. Remember your body still needs food and energy to perform; if you're not eating enough, it will go into "starvation mode" and try to hold onto all the possible energy it can and instead use muscle in an effort to protect the vital organs. I'm guessing you're really tired as well. Talk to your physician.

My biggest advice would be to get pre op counseling to deal with the reasons why you eat. Surgery won't be a miracle cure and will fail in the long run if you don't find out why you overeat and develop tools to deal with those feelings. This is not meant to discourage you, rather to help you put all the tools in place now to ensure you have long term success. I just reached my goal (down 140lbs since last Feb.), but I still find myself reaching for foods I shouldn't eat, eating too fast, etc. The difference is now I am able to stop myself and think about what I am feeling that is causing me to reach for food. Remember this is a lifestyle change, not just a way to lose weight. Congratulations and best of luck; it's a long road, but one that is well worth it!
  3. I went through the same thing at that stage and continued to have episodes for the first 3-4 months. Just keep trying different foods. If you're like me, your tastes will continue to change. For me it was texture; I couldn't keep meat down until month 5. I still can't stand the texture of eggs since the surgery. Protein drinks made me sick as well; I tried nine different kinds. One week refried Beans were all I could handle, another it was ricotta cheese. 12 months later, I can't stand the taste of the only things I could eat at the time like cottage cheese. My doctor said it wasn't a blockage, etc, because I was able to drink Water with no problem. Check with your doctor to make sure. For some of us, it takes our bodies longer to heal and adjust. The important thing is keep trying new things and remember it WILL get better!
