Finally dropped under 200! Bye bye 200's forever!

Got my labs and upper GI results yesterday. First Upper GI since 2012. Band looks great. No stretch and positioning looks good per the Doc. Labs showed my iron a bit low which makes sense why I get chilled so easily and often. I am a little vitamin D low so I have script to take 1 pill a week to help with that. Weight flucuates 5 to 8lbs but I have it check at 166.

2lbs to go to hit Onederland! I swear I am going to have a huge part with myself when I hit that number. Last time I was under 200, I was in my early 20's!

First visit with the PCP today, a month out from surgery. Off BS meds immediately after surgery and she is reducing my HBP meds. Did bloodwork to check cholesterol...will see when results come in. Feeling great!

My A1c in March was 9.2 Today it is 6.1 almost one month after surgery! 27 lbs lost since surgery, and 48 lbs lost since I started the program. No more diabetes meds or insulins. My lipitor and HBP meds were reduced too. WOW!

For the past few weeks, I've had a hankering for a peanut butter cup, and have managed to resist buying any every time I've gone shopping. The combination of peanut butter and chocolate is a favorite even though I'm not a choco-holic. Recently I've learned about PB2 powder and have found a recipe on Unjury that just might satisfy this craving and still have more protein and good stuff than bad stuff. I just ordered some PB2 to try. Will let you know how the peanut butter cups turn out.

What a great feeling! My oldest son was here last night , he is 6'2" tall. He looks good for his height except he has that tell tale sign of a ver small beer belly. He does like to indulge once in a while. I have always been the heaviest in our family. Last night he tells me he need to drop a few pounds because he is at his heaviest. I asked him what his weight is and he told me 225. For the first time in my life I weigh less than him. I am currently 205 headed for onederland. I am 5'10". Although I felt bad for him, I have to say I was so very proud of me for losing 105 lbs

Doc appointment today - just regular obese now, and all my labs are perfect

Just heard back from my insurance (AZBCBS) surgery was denied. Turns out the nutritionist I saw wasnt good enough. They didn't agree with my diet. I'm lost and don't know where to go from here. If I go to another nutritionist it'll take another SIX months before I MIGHT be able to have surgery!! I'm so bummed

It's no Twoterville, but I'm finally below 350! 65 pounds gone in only the 59 days since my preop diet began - if only the rate kept up like this for a while longer...
