    Come On Nurses, Let's Conference

I went back to work at 2 1/2 weeks. I did ok but working a 12 hr shift at first was utterly exhausting. I was regaining my strength and stamina by 4 weeks. Every Dr is different but mine told me after 2 weeks I didn't have any lifting restrictions. I did try to be careful with lifting at first but am doing fine now. Water intake for me is not a problem as we are allowed to keep drinks at our nurses station.

    Keeping my sights on Him

Hi I am also having my surgery on March 9th in Puerto Vallarta. My hubby and I are planning a little vaca that includes my surgery. For now I feel for personal reasons I am keeping my decision for surgery between my husband and I. Only problem with that is I won't have the prayer support of other family members. Hope all goes well for you. Am feeling a little more nervous as time grows closer.

    Come On Nurses, Let's Conference

These are all old posts. Are there any nurses out there that have recently had their surgery or are pre-op. Mine is scheduled for March the 9th. I have 2 weeks off work but am a little nervous going back after surgery to our 12 hour shifts.
  4. Thank you for your quick response. It does help to hear of others that had a good experience using Dr Hidalgo. I had read a post on this site that said he reinforced his staples with stitches. Do you know if he did that with your procedure. Great job on your weight loss success.
  5. Sharonsusan I saw your post re: Dr HIDALGO. I am having my surgery by him on March 9, 2015. Was just wondering how it went for you, what you thought of Dr Hidalgo and CMQ hospital. As he is not one of the more popular surgeons I am getting a little more nervous. Would love to hear feed back from you. Thanks
  6. My surgery is also March 9th in Puerto Vallarta Mexico. My husband and I were hoping to have a relaxing little vaca and have my surgery at the same time. I have been reading posts on complications and it is making me a bit nervous. I have a very supportive husband but am keeping my surgery a secret from other family, friends and co-workers. I am a labor nurse and have taken two weeks off of work, hoping that will be enough time to recover.
