    "Must Haves" post LBL

I bought no medical hardware but used a shower chair once that I had. I oddly have walkers too but did not use them. I used a bunch of yoga bolsters and a recliner for weeks. Pillows! I purchased drinks I do not normally have like Hint to keep me interested in fluids. Popsicles! I purchased compression garments - not the binder but stage 1 high waisted - make sure there is access to urinate without taking the thing off. [emoji6] I kept essential oils diffusing for comfort - distraction. I had a full TT with LBL. - with bum reconstruction and breast lift with reconstruction. 10 weeks out [emoji272]. Ask more if needed and best to you.

    Too much at once?

I had a LBL - outer thigh - bum reconstruction and breast lift / reconstruction done at once. My PS would not do inner thigh with that LBL because simply put they pull in different directions. I bundled as much as I could because of time away from work and I knew my recovery would take a long time. I was out of work for just over three weeks. I healed well I agree it is a scary lot.

    Plastic Surgery Before Goal

It is you who has to decide if you want to wait but sounds at least two years to have the flap removed. It is you who knows if the flap is going to inhibit your for their journey to better health because of discomfort rashes infection and general psychological health associated with body image and performance. I am not sure your financial constraints plastic surgery does not come cheap - I strongly encourage you to get the opinion 3 to 5 PS it took me longer to interview surgeons then to schedule the surgery. In addition to the bellybutton concerned you may want to consider the pros and cons of being under general Anastasia multiple times and the recovery. To include pain. For me that's a lot of health concerns surrounding extra skin for an extended period. I was at goal and had LBL as self pay. I was was in considerable discomfort because of skin under my bum. It impacted everything I dead from sitting to driving to taking a train or plane. I was uncomfortable and work meetings I was uncomfortable during sex. It was not my front side but my backside and I would not have been comfortable staying like that for two years. I do not wear clothes that are too big for me and Wayn skin that's too big for me is more uncomfortable

    I feel so guilty

Love this thread. At almost 2 years I am struggling with maintenance My range a 120 - 125 lbs but I catch myself thinking 118 would be OK. After PS when I increased my food I picked up some bad habits - less clear food less water and such. Now cleared to exercise and get back on track. Scared to death of regain [emoji17]

Excess skin removal = altered tattoos?

My PS stated he could preserve the tech to Or target that area for a complete removal Like you I started at about 224 and I had a plastic surgery at about 122 pounds The tattoo is about 2.5" x 3" I had a lot of skin to work with and 1 tattoo so maybe I had more options my PS did target areas with stretch marks for removal These were conversations on my pre-surgery checklist that I printed out and provided him with a copy of so we would positively discuss everyone in my presurgical appointment visit. I am a touch Type A I had another list surgery morning of things I wouldn't be able to say while in surgery LOL

    Been approved for PS Help!

That is exciting. I agree with above there is no rush I was fairly clear on what I wanted so it was pretty easy for me. I do not even think I was this perky when I was a teen ?

    Boobs !

All the surgeons seem to think I would only be happy with implants I did not want the hassle or the expense of having to replace them every 6 to 10 years. Mine have been reconstructed I went from an F to a B or C cup. Find a PS that listens to you.

What is most important to weight loss?

As stated surgery is more than the diet. I know how to diet. I exercise For me surgery was the right choice.

    Plastic's in Mexico?!!

Check on Real Self or a PS site. I kept it local which gave me support for multiple procedures grouped together 11.5 hours worth. Also I wanted to interview PS specifically on AWL experience. Good luck [emoji3]
  13. Clever! I had taken pillows from my spare room bolsters from my gym and other pillow type stuff from the home. I think people make it work with what they have or what they get

    GETTING DOWN TO IT

I don't think I've ever met anyone that regretted it. Almost 2 years out and I still keep my protein up. Mostly nonfat plain Greek yogurt, fish, nuts,, and my standard morning breakfast two pieces of string cheese. I do cook but with limited time sometimes I only need convenience There are a gazillion recipes out there and you will find what works for you. Just keep your protein up and enjoy the ride it will be smooth bumpy Smith bumpy [emoji12]

  16. I moved from bed to recliner. I could not lie flat for weeks pillows everywhere! As had a bun created my back side hurt. I stayed ahead of pain but!!!! The pain was no joke. Got better as I went from binder to compression wear. Hang in there!

    Natural Hair and Bariatric Surgery

Do what is right for you. For me I was more concerned about health conditions than hair. My hair is dry. It is winter. I am close to the age when hair changes with hormones. I spent years as a model ncluding hair modeling. So now people can admire my bum over my hair. Still they comment on my hair. I hope you make the choice which is right for you. [emoji5]
