My surgery date is aprox 3 wks after approval ....good luck

I am wondering how long everyone was off work after surgery. I am at a desk aprox 50% of the time and driving and meetings 50% of the time.

Thank you guys... I had a band for almost 3 yrs and had it removed 3 mo ago. So I hope that helped prepare me.

Got the call today. Will get my surgery date next week. So excited????

It is not uncommon miss menses with rapid wt loss. My friend who has Bipass skipped her period for 6 mo. She was unhappy when it returned????

My surgeon would not do it at the same time. Ban removed 11/3 hoping to have sleeve done in March. He said they used to do it all together but too many issues occurred. Good luck

I had no problems after removal. Had it done on a Monday returned to work (desk) job on Thursday. I still eat smaller portions. Have not gained any back. Having sleeve done in a month. I feel so much better with it out.

Thank you all so much for the honest and support. I had the lap band for almost 3 years and just had it removed 2 mo ago. Many of the issues regarding Gerd and learning to change your relationship with food are things I have already been through.

Surgery in 5-6 week. I want to here the down side to the sleeve so I am prepared.

I have cut way back on buying thAt crap. If he wants it he has to buy it.

I am hoping to have surgery in 5-6 was. I have done a lot of research and ask a ton of question. I have 3 good friends who had bypass so I know about their progress. I also had a lap band for 3 yrs. Lost aprox 50lb with band and gained aprox 20 lb back. Had banded removed in Nov due to reflux and the port was tubing my rib causing pain. Anyway with all the research I have done I really can't find any short term or long term complaints about the sleeve. So I am asking the group here for feedback.
