March 2015 Sleevers
Two week check in today (3/2 surgery date) at the doctors. Down 29lbs. I was floored and did not expect those numbers at all (I don't have a scale so a total surprise)! Sticking to my water, broth, protein and vitamins with one more week to go until purées. He told me to come back in 4 weeks! There are hard days but I'm so glad I did this!

March 2015 Sleevers
Checking in - 11 days out. Still on thin liquids (Water, broth, and premier protein) and trying to get everything in. I'm losing weight based on clothes but no clue how much because I don't own a scale. I have what feels like stomach cramps when I lay down at night. The cramp kinda starts and then rolls and then subsides. I wonder if it's a stomach spasm? I could have started apple sauce and thicker liquids and yogurts as of Monday, but I declined. I don't think I'm ready. I'm a bit afraid of that because I don't want to starve to death (dramatic much?!) but I don't know how long my stomach will be feeling kinda skiddish. I have no appetite what so ever and never feel hungry. This is such a massive change. Like I think about food but I'm not interested in eating. I don't know if that changes but food is definitely changing from a source of pleasure to a chore of trying to get the right Vitamins and Protein in. I wonder if this is how slimmer people always see food? Right now I feel like once I get on foods, I would be fine with eating the same thing everyday because eating just doesn't seem like a source of pleasure anymore. That shift was so fast - it all changed in a day. I have a follow up appointment on Tuesday where I will get a weight and mention this stomach spasm thing. Other than that, first week back at work is coming to a close. Saved a ton of money on not eating breakfast/lunch. May buy some concert tickets or something with my savings! Goooo Friday!!

Can you lose more then 100 lbs with the sleeve?
Yes you can - I've seen people on here that have lost 170lbs with the sleeve.
-
How often do you weigh yourself?
i don't own a scale, so i get weighed at doctor's visits and nutritionist visits. this is best for my stress level.
-
Vitamins postop
started them 3 days after surgery. my nutritionist stressed them and since they are all mainly chewable, i wasn't scared of swallowing pills.

March Sleevers
The infused broth is good, but the Mexican was a little spicy - I'm post surgery, so I made it half and half with regular chicken broth. Still had a great flavor!

Hiatal Hernia Program- True Results
Have you heard anything this week? I agree, if you are overweight, you more than likely have a hernia.

Snacking - hard time staying full :/
Except for Vitamin K, Vitamin A, fiber and depending on your choice of greens even a bit of protein. Yeah, no substance at all. I eat real food, get 70+ protein a day and have NEVER been constipated. Are you on myfitnesspal or anything? I would love to see what your diet looks like and how you are getting that volume of protein in on a veggie based diet. I'm still early, but struggling with the constipation and want to know how to keep it at bay once I start purees/softs and eventually real food.

March 2015 Sleevers
Yep, I have the same thing going on. I try to stretch the obliques over there by leaning side to side each morning and throughout the day. i think there is a lot of tissue cut out to remove the stomach and i have a feeling that is what is causing the pain. no fever though, so i assume all is well.

3 days to go and feel like chickening out!
This is normal. Everyone has jitters and feelings like "maybe I don't need this...". At some point you started this for a reason. Make yourself remember why.

Back to work
Got some left side pain yesterday at work. I think it's from sitting up all day on sore muscles. Otherwise doing fine. Needing to rest more at night.

GMO free AND organic protein-no chemicals
Try Pacific Bone Broth or make your own. Try Pacific Organic Soups and strain them. Make your own apple sauce for post-op. Organic Greek yogurt. Flavor water with pieces of organic citrus. Try organic protein shakes - Muscle Milk makes one but I found it too sweet from Stevia. Get organic protein powder from Whole Foods. Try organic baby food for the purée soft foods. Organic chickpeas and make hummus. Organic eggs. I think there are tons of options - think out the box! Add organic protein powder unflavored to everything if you aren't going to drink the shakes with chemicals.
