  1. i'm going back on Monday as well. I just plan on drinking Protein shakes and bullion. And more than likely warm Water, since the office is always cold.
  2. sleeved on 3/2. grumbly stomach when i drink Water. i think it's normal. i can feel the air coming up. not hungry. first night the fam heated up some chicken spaghetti - made me gag. been drinking Protein and water.
  3. Happy you are getting released today! I'm still on Water and Protein. I haven't tried broth or Jello or anything like that yet. I've noticed the constant burping to bring up the gas thought - did they recommend gas-x strips? I'm also on pepcid to control the gas/acid.
  4. No March sleeves yet? Perhaps everyone is still resting?
  5. burping! all the time. seems like even with Water, i'm burping. i can also feel my stomach and the water moving around in there and then into my intestines. it's really weird. i also get waves of heartburn, which leave quickly. i've been taking the pepcid as instructed to minimize the acid. i thought i was only to take it if i had acid, but the PA said to take it regardless, as they want the acid to remain low in the stomach so that it can heal properly.
  6. Hi All! Had my surgery on Monday, 3/2. I know there were quite a few people in the pre-surgery area for March, so I figured I would start a thread for us in the post section. Day 1 was tough - they really drugged me at the hospital. I'm super sensitive to medications, so when I woke up, I was completely disoriented and hysterical. They gave me more meds to call me down. I could barely keep my head up and eyes open the entire day. Around 3pm (surgery was at 8am), I was able to realize where I was and get my Water in and walk around. Keep my pain meds up as I wanted to stay ahead of the pain. Day 2 I was still groggy and out of it, but more alert than day 1. Wasn't able to get as much water in with the small cups but using the restroom regularly, so I think all was well. Cut back on the medicine mid day - wasn't a good idea. Took the full dose to get to sleep. Day 3 (today) feeling much better. Folded clothes, took the dog on several short walks and have been off the pain meds all day. Feeling fine! The recovery hasn't been as bad as I thought it would be. Been doing my best to take my Vitamins and such and getting my water in. Also gonna hit the shower now that I'm feeling more with it. How have you guys been that have sleeved this week?
  7. @@kaninag i'm cash pay and going home same day as well. my doctor likes to send everyone home the day of unless there are issues. he feels like keeping you in the hospital slows your recovery. i think we will be fine.
  8. March 2 here as well!
