  1. Whimsy, Your life sounds like a total clone to mine and many others with PCOS. I had lapband surgery on Dec. 14th and have lost 20 pounds so far. Let us know when you get your approval.
  2. I will keep my fingers crossed that you have nothing but success.
  3. Spend some time on-line learning about Metformin. I have been put on it several times with no luck. I spent all the time with diarrehea (bordering on uncontrollable). Some people tolerate it, some don't.
  4. I have been feeling great. I was able to clean out the whole garage the other day. The weight loss stopped when I got off of my butt. I had become quite use to doing nothing. I ordered a Nordic Track treadmill. It arrives Thursday. I am looking forward to it.
  5. Thank you for this forum. I have PCOS. I was banded on the 14th of Dec. I have lost 14 pounds in 2 weeks and then nothing. I am getting depressed. Any suggestions???
  6. I was banded by Dr. Williams on the 14th. It was a very good experience. Cost was ~22,000 self-pay. That includes follow-ups for 1 year. I went to North Fulton Hospital. He also works out of Emory in Johns Creek.
  7. Congrats on your surgery. I was banded Dec. 14th. In 1 week you will feel 100% back to normal. Do not over do it. Give it time. Make sure you get your protien every day.
  8. I was self-pay. I did have to pay for the letter, but I did not have to pay for the scheduling. I was not charged for that. I do not know if my Dr. charges insurance companies for that. My Dr. gave self-pay patients a discount. Anyway, it was worth it.
  9. I was told no baths also. They did not tell me when I could take one. I was also scared to take a shower. I go back to the Dr. Jan. 7th, I will ask then. Hopefully they wil say it is O.K.
  10. So far, so good. I have lost 13 pounds and only had food urges once. I am proud to say, I ignored them. ( Pizza and Cherry Pepsi).:clap2:
  11. I live in Alpharetta. I have been banded 8 days now. So far, so good. Down 13 pounds.:clap2:
