  1. I had mine done with Dr. Williams. I am almost a year out. It has been a wonderful experience. He has taken in a partner and he is wonderful.
  2. I have had a wonderful experience with Dr. Williams and his office. I think they feel you have made up your mind when you contact them that you aare ready to proceed. Have you checked the requirements of your insurance. My would not pay anything and it was 22,000 for the lap band. I am down 48 pounds since Dec. 14th. I am very happy with the decision I made. I did not want my insides rearranged. I started at 314. You will gt ffollowup visits free for 1 year. I go in every month for check and adjustment. You ar required to have bloodwork every 6 months. I get one of my other drs. to order it so it is covered by my insurance. I then take the results to him. I had my surgury at North Fulton Regional. They have a Bariatrics department that helps you through the whole thing. They even go with you to the operating room. They have been very nice and check in with me every month. Dr. Williams also works out of Emory at Johns Creek. Dr. Williams often will do a program at night for those that are interested in surgery. Check the Emory at Johns Creek Hospitals web site to see if you can find the next program. You caan meet him that way. He is a very caring dr. Let me know if there is anything I can heelp you with.

    For those who have PCOS

Spend some time on-line learning about Metformin. I have been put on it several times with no luck. I spent all the time with diarrehea (bordering on uncontrollable). Some people tolerate it, some don't.

    For those who have PCOS

I have been feeling great. I was able to clean out the whole garage the other day. The weight loss stopped when I got off of my butt. I had become quite use to doing nothing. I ordered a Nordic Track treadmill. It arrives Thursday. I am looking forward to it.

    Anyone from Georgia ??

I was banded by Dr. Williams on the 14th. It was a very good experience. Cost was ~22,000 self-pay. That includes follow-ups for 1 year. I went to North Fulton Hospital. He also works out of Emory in Johns Creek.

    Anyone from Georgia ??

I was self-pay. I did have to pay for the letter, but I did not have to pay for the scheduling. I was not charged for that. I do not know if my Dr. charges insurance companies for that. My Dr. gave self-pay patients a discount. Anyway, it was worth it.

    Can I take a bath?

I was told no baths also. They did not tell me when I could take one. I was also scared to take a shower. I go back to the Dr. Jan. 7th, I will ask then. Hopefully they wil say it is O.K.
