    Exhaustion

6 months post op and still tired! Lol I think a lot of this is the vitamin deficiency (atleast in my case)
  2. At 6 weeks I wouldn't worry! I lost 30 lb before surgery and then 9 days after surgery had post op internal bleeding. They gave me 28lb of fluid and I walked out my second stint more than what I weighed before surgery and bloated. My metabolism kicked in around 2-3 months and that's when I lost the most.
  3. I honestly think I need more protein... 6 month appointment tomorrow, let's see what they say
  4. Bel6692 that happened to me as well and I believe I posted back when it happened. It was for about 2-3 weeks and then my scale dropped 4-5lb overnight. I'm just getting scared because this seems too long to go-- 5-6 weeks?? I guess I'm questioning what I'm doing wrong
  5. My clothes definitely feel looser and I can tell slightly my body comp has changed, just frustrated. I haven't been drinking protein, rather trying to eat it and I'm wondering if that's my problem. I too need to exercise, just beating myself up
  6. Has anyone else experienced this? This is my second time plateauing for quite some time! I have an appointment on Friday for my 6 month follow up, but embarrassed I didn't meet the goal set for me...
  7. I didn't have a care in the world that others were eating, however I also wanted food 2 months out and was told that was abnormal

    5 month post op diet

My hope for posting this, is that someone will share what works for them (diet wise). I need the guidance of how many calories should I be consuming (I am 273lb after going up the few pounds). I want suggestions on portions, suggestions on times I should be eating, etc. it sounds so crazy, just want to make sure I'm doing everything the right way, this makes me so nervous
  12. Surgery was 1/9/15, I'm not certain if I have stalled and reached a plateau with my weight, or if my diet has been poor...? I'm noticing I've been eating slightly more carbs, my provider has not specified a certain number of calories per day I should be consuming. I'm very fearful after stepping on the scale and seeing guys gone up 2.5lb... I also feel that as of lately I can eat more, this too makes me nervous. I will be looking for healthy alternatives this week to get back on the wagon
  13. 5 months post op and I am just on the cusp of only being obese!! No longer showing on the chart as morbidly obese!! Whoo!!!

    Eggs

I can easily eat 1 whole hard boiled egg (and I am 5 months post op) however, I struggle with the scrambled eggs... Very weird!

    Hair Loss

Ok all! I have officially started and added Biotin to my Vitamin regimen (not sure if I'm happy just yet)! I jumped immediately to 5000mcg per RN, and we shall see! I'm probably about 1/3 loss of volume and thinking my long locks may need to be chopped short to look healthy again. I will wait to add Nioxin, only because I would like too see if I notice any change, will keep everyone updated with my personal experience. I may not take it if it's not showing me any signs. Thank you to everyone who shared, I am grateful that I'm not in this alone!
