  1. I tell everyone. It doesnt bother me. Those who think they know everything would just be finding something else to know everything about anyway.
  2. I have been noticing the same thing with me. It seems if I have something a little junkie I lose more consistantly and I keep going down. My surgeon did say if I keep losing I'll have to see the nutritionist but I have been getting everything that Im supposed to in. Im 6'2 172lbs now. I might have to try more weightlifting to compensate. Btw you look great! It feels so strange how it feels like forever to get to the end goal and then boom its there.

How Did You Do on Thanksgiving?

I lost a pound lol. First Thanksgiving sleeved. I had a taste of everything and that was it. No round 3 or 4 this year. Did a lot of cleaning and shopping so I stayed pretty busy instead of sitting around eating compared to past years.
  4. Im a sucker for pumpkin spice. I dont know when that happened lol. I picked up the Chobani and it was really good. Whenever I get yogurt now I only get like one once in awhile and its like a dessert to me now. I did try a quest pumpkin pie protein bar and that was good too.

    Fish?

I don't really care for fish that much, but I can do Salmon. It tends to be meatier and when cooked right does taste really good. I don't eat the skin through! yuck
  6. Yeah the boney butt feels like sitting on jagged rocks! Also, boney knees have been hurting me. At night trying to sleep on my side with on one leg on top of the other I have to realign my knees so they aren't on top of each cause it freakin hurts.
  7. Well I have finally reached Onederland. I am at 197lbs from 323lbs being sleeved on 01/31/2015. My goal was 200 however I am still seeing how everything is evening out as I am 6'2 so I do have a little more to go. I went to a wedding last night and wasn't sure how it would go. I knew there would be an open bar and in the past I would of been on it immediately. I have not had any alcohol since my surgery and was planning on possibly having one drink last night. Also, the food was buffet style so there was that as well. I gotta say everything went well and I felt pretty "normal." I did have a drink which did give me a little buzz and we pretty much danced the whole time. Then came the wedding cake. I had a half of a piece and that was it. As of now, I don't really have a certain food that particularly bothers my stomach. The thing is I noticed it wasn't my stomach that stopped me from eating the rest of that cake. It was me. This surgery is such a great tool and has helped me in many ways, however I am very happy that I did not have to rely on it last night to tell me when to stop, it was me. I just wanted to share this because I know that it can be very hard after the surgery figuring out what is normal for you. The thing is to remember that everyones normal is different. You will find it though. No matter how long it takes you will get there.
  8. It happens to me once and awhile if i get up really fast. I used to have high blood pressure but after losing the weight it seems to be normal now every time I go to the doctors. This never happened to me before though.

    Onederland and a wedding

Thanks everyone! @@mgates You are doing awesome! I gotta say that I haven't really been logging my food regularly to know how many carbs I get daily. I know that sounds terrible, but I kind of just know when I need some more. I do get stalls and know that I am either not eating enough or need to throw some more good carbs or a little more fat in and that usually helps me get things going again. As far as exercise, walking has been my best friend and I have been doing light weights. Im now at the point where I need to up my weights and do more cardio. It is a lot harder for me to sweat now, so Ive been trying to kick it up with some of the Beachboy workouts like 21 Day Fix and CIZE. I used to go to Zumba classes awhile ago and loved the workout I get from them so I might be starting that up soon again. I do make sure to have a little more healthy snacks and protein when I exercise harder and I up my water in take as well. I pretty much stuck with everything that I was suppose to follow according to my plan from my doctor. However, as I get lower and lower I kind of just try some things out to see how they will help me with continuing to lose. I hope at least some of this helps. Everyone is different so it all depends on your body and what you feel it needs. You will be at Onederland before you know it!

    Beachbody

I have done a lot of the Beachbody exercises. Right now I am done CIZE which teaches you dance routines to a couple popular songs. Its pretty fun and gets you sweating. PiYo is pretty good too.

Did you reach goal in a year?

I recently have hit my goal and am at a little over 7 months. I still have some work to put in exercise wise though. Its not a race and each person gets there in their own time. You are doing great and I know its hard but try to be patient with your body. You will get there!

    Caffeine

Its kind of trial and error. I recently was trying out caffeine but it was making me dehydrated and I wasn't drinking enough water to make up for it. It started leg cramps so I cut it right back out.

    Corn tortillas

Lettuce wraps are great. Another alternative is to make some cheese shells for your tacos. You just take some shredded cheese and sprinkle it in a circle on parchment paper and microwave to melt it. Then as it cools you can set it on a rolling pin to make it curved like a taco shell and it will harden.

Shot down by my "best" friend

I can understand you feeling how you do about the way she handled it but I believe she didn't mean harm by it. As I went through this I kind of started figuring out who saw me as fat and who saw me as me by who commented and how they commented on my weight loss. It's one of those things you end up getting used to.

What is one thing you use the most post-op

My water bottle and my vitamix for protein shakes.
  19. Wendy's has an excellent salad Strawberry Fields. It has grilled chicken, strawberries, sunflower seeds, a little bit of bacon and blue cheese. A half is about 300 calories and 21 grams of protein.
