I can eat anything ... And that's not good... But portion sizes are much smaller... I'm down 40 pounds and now size 12... But have to deal with emotional eating stuff

I'm going through same thing right now. Not only fluids but I'm having a hard time with vitamins and protein as well

I'm scheduled for March 25th too. So excited and ready for this. I have just been keeping really busy so I don't think about being hungry.

So I did all the testing, nutrition, counseling, two week pre-op liquid diet and the day before my surgery I got call from dr office that insurance company will not approve my surgery. Seems the insurance company wants me on three meds for my hypertension even though I'm on two and its uncontrolled. Oh and pre-diabetes doesn't count anymore. I'm so upset. So here is my question, in starting this journey I was 240 lbs, this morning I weigh 205. Do I just keep going? My dr office put in appeal but I'm just tired of being sick and tired. I feel lost... I learned all about the sleeve and changes to make and I was so ready. Any advice?

It was appealed, and now it's approved. New date is March 25, so I am to start back on liquids tomorrow. I'm so happy but I need to wrap my head around that this will happen. Thanks for all the support.

I had a lot of the giving up food fears too... I decided to go to counseling for emotional eating... It has been the best thing for me. I'm completely ready for this surgery cause ultimately I want to succeed at weight loss and stay that way. I'm reading a book, Life is hard, food is easy. If you think that this is your issue, it may help whether you decide to do surgery or not. Ultimately, it's a lifestyle change either way. Good luck ????

Don't worry... One thing I have learned in this process is everyone is different. I'm on day 4 of protein shakes and I have no idea if I have lost or not. I'm staying off of the scale and just doing what I should and I'm confident that the scale will move. My clothes feel looser ???? just stay the course, you'll be fine

I can't wait to shop in reg sizes.... No more Lane Bryant or Torrid. I also can't wait to feel lighter when I'm running.

Honestly I'm glad you all said what I felt... I call bs on him as well but still sent in report thAt he was on the fence about procedure for me.. Why? I work out, run 5k but admitted I emotional eat at times.. Also said I have compliance problems... But as mom with kid with disabilities he comes first when it's needed and answered accordingly on test... Oh well

So the psychologist told me this procedure does not work for people with food Addictions or binge hAbits. Need to examine your relationship with food. I know quite a few that had procedure and now are gaining weight cause doing same thing now that they did before surgery.

Funny I had opposite, the psychologist thought I'm a emotional eater and need to develop skills to deal with this, and the nutritionist thought I'm perfect candidate and would do fine with surgery. I just hope psych evaluation doesn't hold up my surgery.
