Beginning Cardio
I was told to start walking immediately. The doctor told me to start with five minutes a day and to build up to a half hour five days a week. That was the only exercise I was allowed to do for the first month. At my one month follow-up, she cleared me for all other exercises. Just listen to your body.

Incision pain
I know a lot of people say that they have no pain or soreness. For me, that was not the case. I had severe pain by my left incision for a few weeks. I am at 10 weeks out now and there is still a slight soreness/discomfort there. It will get better!

Cold all the time post op day 10
Before my surgery I was always hot. I used to keep my thermostat at 67 in the day and 62 at night. Since my surgery I am always cold. I have raised the temperature to 72-74 in the day and 70 at night, and I still need to be bundled up in hoodies, under blankets, etc. It's normal!

NEW! Starting the process and am a little confused.
Hello. I also have PCOS and am currently two months post-op. Each insurance company has their own rules and someone in the company should be able to tell you what they are. Each surgeon also has his/her own pre-surgery requirements. In my experience, the surgeon's office coordinated everything with my insurance company, submitted all of the required paperwork, etc. My first meeting with the surgeon was early November, 2014 and my surgery was on February 16, 2015. So my entire process took about three and a half months. I hope this information helps. Good luck!

Learning how to eat slow
I use the Eat Slower app. I set it for three minutes. It has really helped me.

Clear/Color Water
Also, I forgot to mention the brand HINT. My NUT recommended it to me. It is Water with a hint of natural flavoring. It goes down well for me, even though plain water does not. There is nothing artificial in it either. I buy it from Amazon, but I have also seen it a Whole Foods.

Clear/Color Water
I used to drink Water all the time before my surgery and now I can't. Instead I drink a lot of Vitamin water zero and bai drinks. Sometimes I dilute them with water.

Favorite Beauty Products?
I primarily use MAC and Urban Decay. For skin care products I use Decleor. They are expensive but last a long time and are definitely worth it.

Clothing size
I started at size 26 or 28 in pants and 2X (which were getting tight) in tops. I am currently a size 20 or 22 in pants and between an XL and 1X ( 1X is too big, but XL is still a bit snug) in tops. My surgery was onFebruary 16th, so I am almost at two months.

Protein Ideas for Soft Food Stage and Beyond-No Meat Eater on Any Kind
That was the hardest phase for me. I didn't eat any meat. I lived on yogurt, ricotta and cottage cheese- all low fat of course!

Did I stretch my pouch?
Hello. I am 8 weeks post op. Today I aciidentally ate and drank at the same time. This was the first time I had done this. I only drank a little bit, maybe a few ounces. Do you think I stretched my pouch? I know that I'm probably overreacting, but I'm really concerned. Thank you for your help!

3 week stall
This isn't much advice but perhaps it can be of some comfort. I also stalled at three weeks and did not lose anything during weeks three or four. Then the weight loss picked up again and I have been losing consistently. (I am in week 8 now). So, just hang in there and try not to feel down or upset. You will start losing again soon! Good luck!

Question regarding 7 weeks post op
I'm just curious - at 7 weeks post-op, what was everyone's weight loss and what kind of exercise were you doing?

Hospital or Surgical Center
I would definitely choose the hospital. While you may not sleep as well, help will be there in seconds if you need it.

Metformin after surgery?
I was taking Metformin for PCOS. My surgeon had me take it up until the day before my surgery. I have not taken it since my surgery (I am 6 weeks out) because she said that it can drop your blood sugar too low since we don't have a lot of food in our systems. She said that down the road, once we are eating again, she will do bloodworm and see if I need it then.

Can you see the loss?
I see a huge difference. You look great! Keep it up! I agree with keeping track of your measurements. When the scale is not budging, that is he only way I can tell that I am losing!
