  1. Thank you and found out today, doctors visit, that his not being able to perform the sleeve after lapband removal was very LOW too. Am hoping once he gets in my stomach on Monday, all be be a thumbs up and proceed as planned moment for him and I.
  2. Sorry, just came back to this site after 2 years and have forgotten how to use it. Have 2 posts in this section and am hoping for an answer to my dilemma. Am having surgery done Monday the 17th of April and am so worried that he won't be able to do the sleeve at the same time. Want this over with, but I'm sure he'll know what to do after getting the band out. Dr. Caban at Ocala Regional in Ocala, Florida. Thanks for any input.
  3. Was the lapband revision to sleeve done at the same time or did you have to wait a few months?
  4. Am having the lap band removed on April 17th and hopefully the sleeve done at the same time. Has anyone here had the lapband removed and have had to wait for a few months before having the revision to the sleeve? How many have had the sleeve performed at the same time as the lapband removal? Thank you.
  5. Thanks LSF, have my fingers crossed that it will be a go!
  6. Have a new surgeon here in Florida and he says lap bands DO NOT work. I have lost very little weight since my surgery. He offered to do the revision when we return to live here permanently in October.
  7. Has anyone had a revision, band to sleeve, in on,y after 6 months?
  8. Hi All, Hasn't been much activity on this post for awhile! How is everyone doing? We should all be healed and on our way to losing a few here and there. Have been stuck in this 221, 222, pounds for over a week. Had my first fill on May 15th and can't say I'm feeling full after two or three bites. Have had the food stuck after going down my throat, hurt for a while, then it went down. Other than that, have not been exercising like I should, maybe it's time to really kick that in gear, maybe it will get me under the 220 mark and put me in the teens! Stay in good health. Peggy
  9. Hi Rachel, Glad to hear everything went great for you too! Like Kristi says, walk, walk, walk! Get those juices flowing and get back to the grind, only of losing weight now instead of gaining. As Kristi also said, weight loss is minimal until we get that first fill. Mine is May 15, but even without the fill, I am losing and seeing a big difference in the front and rear end of me!!! Feeling, good, clothes fitting better, and I am ready for a new wardrobe. Where do you go for your fills? Take good care, Peggy
  10. Hi Inked, No, not too much pain bending over, some discomfort, but all is well with me too. Kristi and I had our surgery the same day. You will be fine. Peggy
  11. Hi Sweet, Welcome to our post. Great on the weight loss, happy to hear that. I too lost around 21 pounds, but haven't seen that on the scale yet......surgery was Thursday and I'm having trouble on the potty, with the rear components! Soon, I'm sure. Also bloating from the gas used in surgery and swelling from surgery. Operation was quite successful and pain free as long as they kept giving me the pain meds. Took them up until today, am just using Tylenol now and it seems to be working. Good luck, just 1 more week and 2 days, hang in there with that diet. Peggy
  12. Hi Missy, Everything is fine! Feeling much less pain today too. May NOT be taking a pain pill but rather a Tylenol later if needed. Start the puréed food part of my diet today! Was looking so forward to a scrambled egg, but think I will have my cup of decaf tea or two before eating.....am NOT hungry at all. Will let you know how that goes! A lot of people fall off the pre op diet, so I've read. I did pretty good, I did sneak a forkful of a dinner I made for my husband, once, but other than that I did good. I'm sure if you resume the diet this week you will be just fine, just be careful! Ed is doing better than I thought he could or WOULD! He is eating just what he needs too but is sneaking in an extra Protein shake now and then. Later, Peggy
  13. That was suppose to be HI Missy! This website typing us weird!
  14. Ship Missy, Knew here myself, just had surgery yesterday and might I say, nothing to it. Much lesspain and discomfort thsn I was expecting. I'm doing really well. Going home today, as soon as they get the results of my thyroid blood test, the doctor may want to change the milligrams for that. Also found out I have a heart palpitation problem, so have tohavetheat checked out in a few months or so, or whenever get in to see the cardi. He seems to think it may be connected to the anesthetic, but he would like to make sure. Welcome aboard and good luck. Your having your lap band surgery the same day as my husband is having his sleeve surgery. Will be thinking of you. Peggy
  15. Hang in there, try not to think of food! Busy yourself with something! Peggy
  16. That was suppose to be recipes, not echoes? . Where that came from I don't know, I did not type that!!! Lol
  17. Inked, Good luck with the tree weeks of that diet. Will tell you this from mine, after about 3 days the hunger pangs somewhat subside. Your hungry, but could do without food. Can you eat in between meals? I can have sugar free Jello, broth, and sugar free Popsicles. They help, but then I would rather wait till the next shake at times. No, no goods echoes for veggies, sorry.. Peggy
  18. Good luck Hoppy. Thoughts of you today! Peggy
  19. Trutay, We have the surgical centers here in Illinois too, but I guess the bariatric surgeon I chose has it done at the hospital where he also has his office. Heard from the hospital yesterday....have to be there at 6 a.m. next Thursday, and surgery will be at 7:30 a.m. Have heard that some people can go home later that day after having early morning surgery....we'll see. Hope they keep me, I could use the vacation!!! Peggy
  20. There you are Hoppy5....been thinking of you today and will again tomorrow. Good luck and let us know how it went. Peggy
  21. Hi Trutay, Welcome aboard! Hoppy5, if your still with us, good luck tomorrow. Will be thinking of you and will say a little prayer too. Good luck! Trutay, getting my surgery done at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox, Illiois, close to Chicago . If you've ever heard of that city. Do you mean you are having your lap band put in at the doctor's office??? Assuming this as your friend could not have it done because she had to go to a hospital? Do I have that right? Kristi is from the Phiadelphia area and is having surgery at some hospital there.. Am doing a 14 day liquid diet, with one 4 oz. meal a day. Torturous, but need to shrink the liver and some of the or other guys in there! Welcome to our thread! Peggy
  22. Kristi, It wouldn't hurt, I don't think. It will just be more weight loss that stays off, I hope! Peg
  23. Hoppy, That Lean Cuisine sounds deelish! We're all basically on the same STARVATION diet before surgery. I have lost 8# in 2 days, am assuming mostly Water weight, but we will see as these next 12 days roll on. Peggy
  24. I'm in Kristi, we could start it now! Think I am getting the hang of this website! Takes this older brain longer to get to know how to work things. Peggy
  25. Mine consist of 2 Protein shakes a day, supplied by my doctor, 64 oz. of Water, the shakes are my Breakfast and lunch, thus far. 4 oz. of meat, I chose salmon, and 1/2 cup vegetables, broccoli, green Beans, cauliflower, spinach and I think that's it on the greens. sugar free Jello, broth, sugar free Popsicles for in between meal Snacks. Could have 4 oz. of meat, veal, turkey, chicken and any kind of fish. Can also have eggs for breakfast, in lieu of the shake, but then that would be my one meal that day, would rather save it for dinner! Can also have cheese. Pretty glim, but today is a begetter day. Good luck with your menu. Peggy Better day, not begetter!
