  1. I had surgery on 12/29 and finally made it to my 2-week post-op appt, a week late due to the flu. I'm down 21 lbs from surgery, so things are going great. It took me one full week to feel good again, although the first week was manageable. It was like flipping a switch. I'm having normal BMs and my doc approved me to start doing whatever physical activities I want, and soft meats such as fish, etc. My incisions also look great and are healing quite well. It's important to really research your physicians and clinic. I started at another large place when I was considering getting lap band in late 2013. I didn't feel comfortable with them in the end. I decided to see the doctor who ultimately performed my surgery and I couldn't be happier. I highly recommend him (Houston, TX).
  2. Tomorrow will be one week since my surgery and I'm doing great for the most part. My biggest issue is wanting and needing to have a bowel movement. Ugh. I'm ready to start eating solid food again just for that! What are people taking to help with this issue?

    Any December 30th Sleevers ?!

GNC Lean 25 shakes are my fave and it comes in various flavors. I bought the premixed ones, but you can buy the powder and make your own. I also had my sleeve on 12/30. I've been doing great, but had a rough night last night. Feeling better this morning.

    EXTREME Pain, 1 day post-surgery

Of course they did, but this doesn't feel like gas. I'm just super sore. I'll chat with my doctor when he shows up.

    Dec 29th sleevers ?

I had an easy time on the pre-op. I had to do 2 weeks, liquid only. I chose GNC's Lean 25 and I think very highly of those protein shakes. No aftertaste and they satiated my hunger. I celebrated Christmas in Louisiana while the family was enjoying some really good eats. I stuck to my diet! I was sleeved yesterday, 12/30.

    EXTREME Pain, 1 day post-surgery

Also, I misspoke. My doctor does single incisions, but mine was actually 4. That is contributing to the pain.

    EXTREME Pain, 1 day post-surgery

Thank goodness. Again, I had surgery less than 24 hours ago and I'm still in the hospital. I don't think my pain meds are the best, but when we removed the pump for a bit around 4am, I realized it was working more than I thought.
  8. In all the forum postings I read, most people complain about their incisions being painful. I had a single incision surgery, which hasn't bothered me at all. But, my stomach...OMG, the pain. ????
