    Needing a little encouragement

I was extremely exhausted but i would eat a little something and i would pep up. I'm almost 3 months out and my doctor put me on extra b12 because my b12 was low which explains why I was tired all of the time.

    Life post op DS

I'm 22 days post of and I'm down 23 lbs. the hardest thing for me post op was gas pains and loss of appetite. I'm finally in the groove. But I have days where the only thing I will eat is yogurt, applesauce, and mashed potatoes. I have no regrets. It's one of the best life decisions I've made.
  3. No.only pain/gas pain for the first week. I'm 20 days out.

    venting -- emotional rollar coaster

I just recently had my duodenal switch surgery on feb 4 so I'm only 3 days out. I am already seeing a drop in my blood pressure and my blood sugar! The o.ly regret that I have is not doing this sooner
  5. I had my surgery February 4th 2015 so far my main issues have been pain due to gas! Which id finally getting under control. I have no regrets because my blood sugar has been running 101 and my blood pressure has been perfect 130/70 when just on Monday it was 174/128 and my surgeon said if it didn't come down i wouldn't be able to have the surgery.

    Duodenal Switch

I was adamant on having the gastric sleeve. I've had 3 friends(coworkers) that has had the sleeve and I've had one friend(coworker) that has the DS done. My coworker that has had the duodenal switch done has lost more weight than the ones that had sleeve. She didn't have any complications. I'm scheduled to have the duodenal switch on February 5. Immediately following my surgery I will come off my diabetic, cholesterol, and blood pressure meds.

I'm done telling folks. They don't get it

Just keep in mind that you are doing tjis surgery for your health above anything else. You've made your decision so don't let other people (especially family) members discourage you. They'll frown upon you when your obese and still frown upon you once you decide to do something about it. Keep your eye on the prize☆
