I am scheduled to have the DS on December 29th.I had the bypass in 06 but my pouch was not the correct size when the had to stretch it. I ended up only losing 50lbs so I am having a revised bypass with a ds because my bmi is 40 and not good for the bacj surgery I just had

My surgeon wasn't a huge fan of the sleeve, kind of felt like it would end up like the lap band for many. He said that there is a lot of acid reflux afterwards & some other digestive issues. My surgeon did not do the DS only RNY but in his experience the RNY had fewer side effects then the sleeve, plus it can be "fixed" so to speak if you have issues down the road. Where as the sleeve all you have left is all you have left of your stomach.

OK I am just on my preoperative diet but want to be prepared. I'm glad everything was a success

Congratulations!!! I am scheduled to have my surgery Monday Dec 29. I have to say that premiere Protein is good. I tried a lot of different ones but the chocolate is good plus you get 30 grams of protein
