Week 2 Post OP Band To Sleeve

This stuff!! The thing that confuses me is that there seems to be many different waiting periods between the Lap Band Out And the Sleeve. The common time is 3 months and that is how long I have to wait. I did not have one moment of trouble with my Lap Band in 8 years. Got to my goal weight, but everything went to Poo when I went into Menopause. Instead of a couple of squares of chocolate a day (if that) I was soon up to 300g a day along with plenty of other food. YES I know I can suck that chockie down with the sleeve but I am just now starting with a new wonderful holistic womens Dr who specialises is Biodentical Hormnes. (I discovered that it was my lack of hormones that set off the sweet craving and other nasties). Back to my question. I would love to get my Sleeve earlier than the 3 months. I am going to discuss getting it in Feb Instead of March.
  3. Sorry you are experiencing this. I had my band out last week and am still a bit swollen ( or inam fatter because I have been eating more LOL). The best way to think of it is that you had a very challenging operation and your recovery will be longer and more painful. You just have to monitor closely as to whether you should consult your surgeon in case he has to go back in. When is your Sleeve scheduled for????
  4. Hi guys. It's Julie from Aussie down under. I am scheduled for March 23rd but have to tell you I am hoping to talk my surgeon into moving the date forward to Feb. I had my gastric band out 24 Dec and I have too allow 3 months between surgeries. Bugger it. I want it NNOOOOWWWWW!!! LOL
  5. E#1 I had my Gastic Band removed last Tuesday and all went fine. They did a special X-ray the next day while i swallowed an aniseed tasting drink. The Doctor said it all looked good. I am chomping at the bit to have my sleeve done but have to wait 12 weeks (24th March) so my stomach is fully healed. I see in the U.S. they often do both procedures together. I do understand taking the precaution of waiting but I have a very good reason for wanting it earlier than 12 weeks. I am a Bing Eater/Bulumic and already I can eat huge volumes of food. The other thing is after I reached my goal weight of 60kg after the Gastric Band I had all the surgery to tighten up my loose skin and frankly looked fabulous. If I keep up this eating I will stretch the skin out again and all those operations will be ruined. I will be talking to my Sugeon as soon as possible to discuss. HAS ANYONE ON THIS FORUM HAD THEIR SLEEVE CONVERSION DONE EARLIER THAN THE 12.WEEKS???

  7. I have added my weight ticket. Now I caanot tint my surgery countdown which wull be in late March. I saw it in someone's post. Thank you !
  8. Some thorough detail of what you are eating will be most helpful.
  9. I would love to have a Weight Ticker but cannot work out how to do it!!! Thank you Julie
  10. Saw my surgeon today. Dr Reza Adib from Weight Loss Solutions at Varsity Lakes on the Good Coast Queensland. Yesterday I saw he Psychologist and Nutritionist. Both interviews were an hour each. It was quite intensive. I don't have a huge amount to lose but give me another few months and I will have plenty to lose. You see I crrently have a Gastric Band and it was my best friend for six years until the dreaded. menopause hit me. After being at my ideal weight for many years suddenly I could not stop eating sweet foods especially chocolate. Bippity Bobbity Boom I had put on 15 kg. !!!! On Thesday 23 Dec 14 I will be having my Band Removed and on 23,March 15 I will be getting my Sleeve as the body needs 3 months to recover from the removal of the Band. I am super excited and glad to be a member of this amazing forum.
