My pre-op was I Protein Shake Meal Replacement with lean Protein and steamed veggies. But I have restricted my eating to practice for post-op. I have lost 10 lbs and tomorrow I'm two days from sleeping. Liquids only. I'm as ready as I can be.

I agree with most others. Tell them it's personal, it's surgery and you don't care to talk about it. End of story. If someone presses you just kindly restate, "it's personal and I really appreciate that you will understand if I choose not to talk about it. ".then walk away.
Let them think what they want. As we say in my first language, "It's none of their bee's wax". Good luck. Be happy.

It is impossible for anyone to know you won't make it. You will grab this opportunity and make the most of your surgery. You know what is in your heart even if you have doubts. 2 lb s gained in the big picture aren't squat. I have gained or lost those same 2lbs a100 times. But on the 30th I'm getting sleeved. Be strong. I'm with you! N

Going to a work Christmas party tonight. I actually work at a cooking school so I'm sure the food will be fabulous. I've made an old Armenian family recipe but I've eaten my fair share of these through the years. Surprisingly I'm not worried about indulging. I'm days away from surgery and for today I am strong.

My insurance dragged their feet for 6 months. Then I found out that the customer service rep from my health insurance co . Was giving my Dr.s office MISIN formation. !!!! So, before you give up, find out if the person fr your insurance co is giving accurate info regarding your policy. Just saying and good luck.

I'm 63 and if not now when? I feel my health has been skating along on the luck of my good familial genes. But last May I watched my dear friend, who was only 53, die of diabetes. That is one cruel ugly disease.
Anyway I have suffered with my obesity for over 35 yrs. I'm ready and on Dec. 30 my new life will begin. Hold on to your hats, it's going to be a rocky ride.
And good luck to you dear reader, on your path as well.
