    Is anyone 4 weeks out?

I had my rny on 12/02/14. No complications perfect recuperation. I have no idea what dumping feels like. So far I have lost 35lbs including what I lost on my 3 weeks optifast diet. 3 weeks after surgery I started my pureed diet and it went really well , but I started trying all kinds of foods and would just chew really really well. Nothing makes me sick! Nothing at all, but I have stopped losing weight, haven't lost 1 lb in the past two weeks I'm getting very stressed out. I'm happy I don't get sick but I kinda wish I would so It would force me follow the diet better. I still don't eat pasta, rice, bread, and I eat very small portions but still the scale doesn't move
  3. Yeah I know chocolate is the easiest of the two so you are lucky! Good luck with your surgery
  4. Hello! First of all I'd like to say that even though this is my first post, I've received a lot of advice and encouragement from many of you here so thank you! I had my laparoscopic gastric bypass surgery on December 2nd, 2014 and I'm happy to say I've had an amazing recovery! I started my journey at 5'6 weighing 265lbs at my heaviest, 256lbs on surgery date and 10 days post op am now at 240lbs ????????I stopped taking my pain meds about 4 days after surgery, I can sleep in whatever position I want, I've been trying pureed foods and have never felt nausea, haven't vomited or felt uncomfortably full. I'm feeling great....but Just a couple of hours ago I fell down the steps...only 5 steps, but I hurt my bum and my elbow, and of course I'm concerned about my insides, I just had major surgery a few days ago. I feel ok, my incisions look fine and everything seems normal but I'm still a little nervous. Will be calling my surgeons office tomorrow to see what she says. Did anyone ever go through something like this? Should I be more worried? Help. ????
  5. Oh no! I heard that hurst for a long time. I hope you are feeling better. It's been a couple of days since my fall and other than a sore bum and bruised elbow I'm feeling great thank god nothing serious happened
  6. Thanks! That makes me feel better. And yes I'll be more careful ????

  8. Hi! Im from Ontario Toronto to be more specific. I had my surgery on December 2nd and had to be on optifast for 3 weeks... And the supplier only had vanilla flavoured shakes, so it was a nightmare. It was truly rough for me, I don't like milky drinks and the consistency of the shakes would make me gag and tear up every time. I was supposed to take 4 per day but sometimes only managed 3 because I hated the taste so much...but time went by and taking one day at a time helps. Just keep reminding yourself that you want your surgery to be easy and successful and that will keep you motivated. By the end of the 3 weeks I was chugging those bad boys down without thinking about it and lost 10lbs you can do it!!!
