I have horizon NJ direct and my Dr was Marc Neff

The glue can be taken off between two and three weeks. It is nothing to take it off. As for swimming I was told after 3 weeks you were good to go, butt hen again I was back in the gym running and lifting after three weeks with no issues.

I was sleeved on 1/16. I lost 15lbs preop, then 7lbs the next two weeks and now the end of week three I lost 8 more. Down a total of 30.
One thing to watch for is that you are getting the requires Protein and calories. Remember your body is in starvation mode under 600 calories.

I used Dr Neef in cherry hill. He was great.

I responded to a earlier post you made about a month ago and explained we were in the same boat. I am shorter than you and 15lbs less than you but have the same habits as you, work a desk job 37 wife and two kids.
I had my surgery on Jan 16th preop weight was 285, surgery weight 270, this morning 260, 25 lbs and didn't even work out yet (starting tonight). I am not hungry at all, I eat my three meals a day with two Protein shakes and a Protein snack. My meals are between 3oz to 5oz and I don't even finish them. I wouldn't eat if I didn't have too tbh. My wife and kids eat what they want and I have zero desire to eat bad. I am focused on myself and quality of life.
If you want to discuss anything message me and I will give you my email.
This was the best decision I made So far with life style changes.

I had my surgery on the 16th of this month. I was sent home with 40 pain bills and took only 4 pills.
I was tired for the first 4 or 5 days but it gets better.

Is your preop diet all liquid?
I was able to do a Protein shake in the morning with fat free milk, a Protein Bar for lunch (Quest bars are good) a shake for snack then dinner which I stuck to chicken and fish with a mix veggie or broccoli.
I would suggest cutting out one meal not and doing a Protein Shake replacement to get use to the process. I did three weeks of the preop diet.
I did two shakes a day and for dinner ate what I wanted but not a overload of food. That was for the first week.

Well I'm no bodybuilder I consider myself plump lol but it makes the Protein more efficient in the first few months so you don't lose as much muscle

Ok so for the love of God I cannot do power supplements with Water esp if they fizz. Which Calcium and amino complex do. Just watching it fizz makes my mind go crazy.
So I switched the Calcium today to liquid which works fine but I didn't expect the amino complex to be as bad as it is.
So what does everyone use for amino complex? I guess veggie pill form is my only option which is fine by me only need to take it once

@@fit4life123 how did you make out?
I was release last night and felt pretty good. Trying to get my liquids down which is a challenge but got about 30g of Protein in and 30oz of Water so far. Will do another Protein Drink later so I should be around 60g and hopefully 60oz of Water

I had doubts the night before also, getting changed into the hospital gown the next day I was about to break down and just walk out but I know I couldn't do it any other way.
I went thru with the surgery and only being two days out I am in some discomfort but glad I did it and looking forward to the next chapter in my life.
Good luck with surgery if you do proceed.

I had my surgery on Friday (Jan 16th) and came home last night. I used the pain medication till about 11:30 Friday night only 30 mg (Which isn't much at all). Saturday after my swallow test I was given one pain pill at 12 and then didn't take another one until I was going to sleep at 9:30 or so. Today I have taken one pain pill at noon, the pain is more cramps like then a Sharpe or stabbing pain. I been up and walking around and have some discomfort once that happens I sit back down and take it easy.
I personal do not think I would take a vacation the second week. Your body is still recovering and getting use to the New life style. I will keep you posted over the next week to see how I feel.

Good luck! I am scheduled tomorrow also.

Vietnam shop has all flavors. I have one left which is perfect as surgery is Friday then Clear Liquids for two weeks

My PCP wouldn't even write a letter. So the DR submitted it to insurance without it. If you meet the requirements of the insurance company then approval shouldn't be a issue. I was approved in a week. My insurance is Horizon

I am 9 days in to my 14 day preop diet and I do a shake for breakfast 16oz half Water half skim milk, Protein Bar for lunch (quest Cookies and cream), a shake for snack and then dinner is 4 - 6 oz of chicken or fish with 2/3 cup of mixed veggies. As my surgery is this Friday I will be doing all fish as that what I plan on doing after surgery.

Change in life occurs everyday, it is how one adapts to the change that makes each of us better. Change is not a bad thing it is a chance to regroup and become stronger.
Take this time to look for a new job and with a positive outlook you find a new and better job.
Good luck everything will turn out for the best.
