    Why Am I So Cold?

Losing fat to exchange for a cute little sweater! Seriously I have that happen at night, after sweats. I think the sleeve is triggering my middle aged hormones.
  2. I think you do just need to eat some tums, walk stay up right. Laying down will make it worse. Warm water might help. U know what not to eat next time.
  3. Are you still on full liquids? You may want to stick with it for awhile longer.

    9 months out, my story.

Look at u! I wish I would have done this when I was younger! I hear what your saying. So I had a lapband before my sleeve. The 2 things I learned is that people who have never struggled with obesity can be so cruel with their jokes and comments about heavy people. 2nd is that some friends like us better fat for whatever reason. I think at least in my case, we could wallow in pain and misery together. When I did something about it for myself, I also stopped complaining and I think they felt left behind. So the relationships changed. One other thing that was hard that my friends who have always been slim don't understand is that I'm very uncomfortable with people saying I look good or what have you. Not people who have always known me but strangers or acquaintances. Feels creepy. So I've found such a bond with people who have gone through this. I feel more open and secure around them. It's been hard with my skinny-his-whole- life boyfriend, He has said to me, lovingly, why can't you just not eat as much. And I've heard him use the words fat and lazy in anger when referring to clients ( he manages apartments). He would never say those words to me. But at his highest weight of 185 at age 45 and 6ft tall. He just can't comprehend what we go through day to day with food. Sorry this was much longer then intended.
  7. you look amazing and do much healthier.

    Largest incision site opened

So far today it's feeling so much better. I've been up all day. My his is the best I've felt all week. I am a volunteer firefighter and we have our big Christmas party tonight. Made a huge amount of calabacitas (zucchini and corn dish). I won't be having any but I did have a few pieces of well cooked zucchini. Hope that wasn't a mistake. I'm down about 15 pounds since I was last at station. Not much yet but I'm wondering if those lug heads (said with love) will notice. They just know I had abdominal surgery. Not will they ever know if I can help it. Fire station teasing can be brutal. Hoping it will be a gun evening. My non firefighter boyfriend is even acting excited, I think cause my bday is tomorrow. He's an amazing man for being secure enough to have a girl friend who hangs out with a bunch of firefighters, where boundaries are mythical...

    Scale

Is their a group for the scale obsessed. I need to join. I'm trying to only step on in the morning cause the fluctuations during the day drive me NUTS! So if you can live without, do it. No need to add a stresser.

    Alcohol effects after sleeve

Even in my hay day 8 shots of tequila would have sent me to jail or the hospital.

    About Me---I'm Tori, Hi...

Congratulations on your success! I just had mine 11/24. I'm down 13lbs. I only had a week to prep which is different then most. I had a lapband where I enjoyed a 60lbs loss but started having serious issues with it and it had to come out and I knew I want to go in this direction and as soon as insurance approved there was a cancelation on my dr surgery schedule and he asked if I wanted it since I already had all the education and had been successful with band. I said yes...and here I am.

    Alcohol effects after sleeve

11 days out and I can't even think about a drink of coffee! I will say I had a band before this and in the beginning alcohol didn't effect me the same. I think I was so paranoid I'd get stupid drunk or vomit I tricked my brain to stay sober. But seriously. Alcohol is just sugar calories. What's the point?

    Surgery tomorrow

That was mine. All I remember was someone saying okay let's go. And then I saw my mom and son come into room and it was over.

    Metagenics

I like whey protein (the flavorless) with crystal light. I blend it and it taste like sherbet.

    Surgery on the 15th...

The headaches will pass. Might try decaf coffee. It has just a pinch of caf and might take edge off. Or decaf tea. In a few weeks soda will be a thing if your past. I've been off soda 3 years and now even the sight of it grosses me out and I loved my diet coke
