    Oh the gas!

I was told to lay on the bed and have someone hold my legs and hang off from my waist to my head. It's not comfortable at all but it works.
  3. Question for my "old timers" I had surgery in 2011 and then moved 1000 miles away. I could not find a surgeon in my new location that would see me, they all told me the same thing we didn't do your surgery so we don't want to responsibility for your care. So my PCP I have seen some articles about the new post op guidelines and they seem so different from what I was told. Such as no steroids, no NSAIDS, no blind NG tubes, and so on. Are there more things? Have your surgeons told you any updates like this? I feel in the dark and when I Google it there is many conflicting reports
  4. I am 3 years post surgery. And in those 3 years I never felt hungry, I knew when it was time to eat, my sugar would drop but never had a hunger pain since the hormone is no longer there. I'm 6 months pregnant and for the first 16 weeks I was sick as a dog, lost 5 lbs in 2 weeks, it was horrible. But now I'm starting to feel what I think is hunger pains. I forget it's been so long. I wake up every 2 hours at night to have a snack and use the bathroom. I eat every 2 hours during the day too. Does anyone else eat this often? I had trouble keeping and gaining weight in the beginning and now I'm eating like this I thought for sure I would gain a lot of weight, I'm at 12 lbs. Not bad. I read so many other posts where the women said they gained 60+lbs. If you did gain that much weight did you ever have morning sickness? When did you gain the most weight? That sounds like a large amount of weight for a WLS patient to gain, most non wls patients don't gain that much during pregnancy. I would love to hear some feedback since I have a few months to go. When did you gain the most weight? Are you/were you hungry a lot?

    glucose test

everything i have read states you should not do the glucose tolerance test, the dumping that can occur can make you very dehydrated. finger sticks routinely for a week is the best. twice a day, 1 fasting and 1 non fasting. They can also check your A1C. i'm opting not to have the glucose test done, i vomited having to fast for the first round of labs when i found out i was pregnant. I couldn't handle the fasting, between being pregnant and having to eat every few hours. My OB told me to eat every 2 hours, no problem there I actually feel hungry and need to eat. I haven't had that hungry feeling since before surgery.
