Thanks for the update! I am glad everything went so well. I already want to eat my mattress just from pre-op diet . Tomorrow is my day I hope I have a similar experience .

Well 10 days post op.... No pain or nausea even right after surgery....actually made sure I had surgery....liquids was NO FUN ...now on full liquids and doing better...hmmm this mattress looks tasty lol. No significant loss but that is ok ....

I had my band out in December, I had no pain whatsoever.....jumped off the bed, put on my boots and went home ...I hope it is the same for you. Estimated date for my sleeve is early March... I cannot wait. I wish I had done this 4 years ago instead of the band. This is exciting for sure. I know all about about the head hunger . For me it is mostly consistency of a certain food, like icing.

When the Big & Tall store you've had to shop at for the past 30 years doesn't have any pants small enough for you!

Went for my check up today and all is going great! I am down 30 pounds from day of surgery and I cannot believe how much better I feel. Being back in the 100's is a pleasure that I just never could describe. I know it is just a number but, to me, it is like I scaled Mt. Everest!. I have dropped 3 pant sizes and look so much better in clothes. My knees, back and hips don't hurt like they did anymore. I look forward to seeing even more improvement in the next few months. I am over 55 years old and this is absolutely, without a doubt, the best thing I have ever done for ME......maybe the only thing I have ever really done for ME! This is soooo my year!

How wonderful congratulations, I'm about a month and a half out so I am on pins and needles hoping that my approval comes pretty quickly I do believe he starting the process next month

I got the call today, my insurance approval finally came through! I go Friday for my final set of pre-op testing a 02/03 to scheduele. (looking like I am going to get a mid Feb. date) I am so excited, and nervous, it has been a long road, kind of hard to believe this part is finally here! Yay!

Yes that helps alot! I didn't really think about my stomach having to go back to normal shape...thanks!

I also got the Lap Ban Removed on Dec 3rd 2014 after having had it for 2 years. I have to wait 3 months to have the gastric bypass, but now I am considering the sleeve. Not sure now. What made you decide one over the other?
