    Transfer Addiction: Fashion

I am also going to admit that my shoe size did not change but I have probably bought 30 pairs of new shoes in the last year because you have to have them go with the other new stuff. MichiganChic I have always been a purse girl.

    Transfer Addiction: Fashion

I might fall in this category. Hard to say as I've been at goal for a year exactly today and you really do have a lot of stuff to replace. Work clothes, casual clothes, going out clothes, work out clothes. Harley gear, snow ski gear, jackets, bikini. And then you need cute new shoes to go with this stuff It seems like every season it's something. I am hoping now I am pretty set but it's also so much fun when things look good on.

    LOSING TOO MUCH WEIGHT!

lauraellen80 she probably picked 115lbs at 5'2" because if you get any smaller you won't be able to buy any clothes that fit. I say that because that's where I am at. I wear a 0P. I do workout/run because I like the health benefits. I do have carbs now and I don't consider that a cheat. Cookies, ice cream, cake, waffles etc are cheat days in my book and usually just on the weekends. It is hard to find the happy medium as we all have worked so hard to get here that gaining it back is a big fear.

    IBS and GERD?

I had IBS for 12 years before I had the surgery and I am 15 months out and have never had an issue since the surgery. That alone was worth the surgery and I was self pay. Extra bonus.

Ack! Only Starbucks for the weekend

Love this thread. I used to get a Grande Mocha everyday on my way to work. Eeeckkk now I only go on the weekends as a treat but I don't love the SF skinny Mocha so I am going to try some of these others. I like the SF vanilla and Carmel but haven't tried the Cinnamon so this Saturday I have something to look forward to

    Help with protien

I really like the unflavored GENEPRO. I threw out almost a full container of unjury. I've been at goal a year and I still use it almost everyday in my coffee. I get it from Amazon.

    Ice cream

I do. But I have been at goal for about a year now. I probably have it at least 2x a week.

    Friday NSV roll call!

I went and got a new drivers license and when they were updating my information and got to the weight they were like Wow you do need to update that. I've been at goal for about a year so it was nice to finally get it updated.

    Do You Log Your Food?

No I don't track. I knew it was something I wouldn't do. My nutritionist is great and works with me. 15 months out 11 at goal. I still focus on Protein and have 5 small meals a day. I stay within a 3 lb weight range. If I hit the top of it I cut the carbs. You have to find what works for you. ~LA
  12. It's been 15 months and I still don't regret it. It took me about 4 months to get to goal. One of the best things I've ever done for myself. It's so nice being able to workout in the morning and not be starving all day long. I still have a hard time looking at 0P/25 jeans and believing they fit me. ~LA

    Protein & Water Concerns

I am almost a year on maintenance and I still use Protein shakes. I use the GENEPRO in my coffee every morning. Sometimes I add it to my oatmeal. I have Shakeology shakes probably 4 x a week. I also eat powercrunch Protein Bars as a snack sometimes. When I get sick of Water I have Powerade Zero. Good luck- LA

    Today's WIN!

I went on a 4 day weekend girls trip and was so nervous about getting on the scale this morning only to find I am at my lowest weight. I thought for sure I'd be up a few and have to cut way back this week. Happy Monday!

    13 mths post op

The sleeve is just a tool so you still have to eat Protein first, drink Water, and exercise. If you haven 't been doing those things then your not going to lose as much. That doesn't mean it's to late though. Go back to the basics and you will see the scale move again. ~LA

"My Diet is Better than Your Diet" -- random rambling...

I haven't watched the show but I think the same thing about Oprah as I have done WW and I was hungry all the time and would eventually just get tired of figuring out all the points and if I didn't have enough I'd go run for dinner. I know they say Money can't buy you happiness but it did for me. Love my sleeve~

    Oh the complications...

Yikes that sounds horrible. I hope things take a turn for the better and praying for you! ~LA
  18. I work out 6 days a week sometimes 7 if you include yoga. I do a bunch of different things as I like them all so fitting them all in is sometimes hard. I do crossfit, spin classes, run 15 plus miles a week, yoga, and then workout video's like Insanity,T25, P90x. Working out was never my problem though as I worked out 6 days a week before surgery. I could just never outrun my fork. I am happy to say I can now workout as much as I want and not be starving all the time. ~LA

    Too skinny?

I did it and I was only 165 lbs at 5 foot 2 but I didn't tell my friends or family. I worked out 6 days a week and still had a BMI of 30. I tried every diet out there and would lose the weight and gain it back. I decided this was the right decision for me and have never regretted it. I am not going to say there aren't risks but then again so is driving a car. Good luck- LA

    Veterans....#1 thing you miss / don't miss

I miss Red Robins Banzai Burger and steak fries. I wouldn't even be able to eat 1/3 of that now and it doesn't keep well so I don't even bother. I miss Chineese food. Now all that greasy fried stuff with rice wouldn't sit well. One thing that I don't miss is something I didn't know the sleeve would fix for me. I had really bad IBS and it has been such a blessing that I can't even tell you how my life has changed not worrying what I ate, where I am, where's the closest bathroom. Great thread- LA
  21. I was totally strict until I hit goal as well. I still don't do Pasta, rice, bread, or alcohol. My carbs are usually fruit, oatmeal, or skinny pop popcorn. I think your fine with sweet potatoes and brown rice etc. I am not going to lie I do allow myself some sweet treats but I also workout everyday. Good luck- LA

    Too much protein?

Yes, you can get too much Protein so try your best to get what your nutritionist recommends. I hit my protein goals and still lost hair. From about 6-9 months and then it starts to grow back. One and only side effect I had with this journey. So I am not complaining. Good luck ~LA

    Stalled for two years

Losing 130 lbs is a great accomplishment. Your body has to be doing better than it was. Be proud of yourself and make good choices moving forward. I jumped up past my weight limit I set for myself and I went back to Protein shakes for a few days. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. Sometimes it's more mentally challenged so hold your head up high. ~LA

    Prayers

Felix- That is so sweet of you. God Bless you for thinking of others. ~LA
  25. I have tried the wraps and didn't think they helped. I do botox and fillers. Works like a charm. Everyone now tells me I look 10 years younger because of the weight loss....haha no one needs to know about the rest. And I only lost 50 lbs and could see the lines and sunken eyes. ~LA
