Way to go you look amazing. I love your hair cut. -
If I eat a lot of sweets I don't dump I just get nauseous. Not a good feeling and it will last up to an hour so make good choices.

Genepro Question
SeahawksFan replied to Bloomer723's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I use it in my coffee every morning. I also will add it to my oatmeal before I even cook it. It mixes in better. I have even used it in pancake mix. I was really craving banana pancakes. I don't count calories so I am not sure what the difference is. Maybe it has a smaller scoop as it's almost double the amount? -
Single digit jeans...NSV
SeahawksFan replied to LisaMergs's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Nice job. It's so much fun buying new clothes. You got this...size 6 Coming Soon ~LA -
You bring up a good point about definition of Snacks as I think we all have been given different guidelines. I do 5 small meals a day. 200-250 calories focusing on Protein. I consider grazing...which I have to admit I do sometimes now that I am on maintenance eating skinny pop throughout the day. I am currently detoxing and breaking that habit. 7 days without it ~LA

Yes I think being active is easier when you have less weight to carry. I think it's important to workout 3-5 days a week and sometimes staying motivated is hard for people so change it up. Try new things. I personally workout first thing in the morning so that I can't make excuses. Just get it done. Have a plan and even put out your workout clothes. ~LA

I really like skinny pop and bring it in my purse. They have 100 calorie packs at Target and sometimes at Costco.

Isopure make anyone else throw up?
SeahawksFan replied to Boudala's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Isopure and Ivars clam chowder are the only thing in 2 years since my surgery that have made me sick. Just drink Premier Protein from costco. Even Water it down if it's too thick. It's less expensive and not bad tasting. Good luck ~LA -

Drink your water!! At about 10 days out I thought I was Super Woman and over did it. Ended up in the ER and 3 bags of IV. ~LA -
What is your favorite protein bar?
SeahawksFan replied to spunkyheather's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I don't like Quest either and I've spent a small fortune on them and even given some away. My favorite Protein bars are power crunch. They taste more like a cookie. They have a little less protein than others around 13 g but only 5 g sugar and around 200 calories. I get them on Amazon but you can go Walmart or GNC and they have individual one's you can buy and taste before you buy a box. The flavors I like are Peanut Butter fudge, mint choco, salted carmel and vanilla. Another one I like is Combat Crunch. Those are more expensive but bigger bar and usually 20 G of protein. Good luck- LA -
I do Crossfit but haven't changed any of my diet needs since being sleeved 2 years ago. I am going to follow this to see if anyone else has input. ~LA

What Is Your Biggest Guilty Pleasure? (Food or Not)
SeahawksFan replied to Alex Brecher's topic in Food and Nutrition
I get a massage at least once a week. Food: Pizza and I don't even care what kind. Thin crust, regular, deep dish. I love them all -
This might be a fun little 5 minute test for y'all.

Hilarious, fun, and totally right on the money. I am also a ESTJ. Must be why I think all your posts are entertaining. Also the career choice was correct. ~LA -
One thing I don't think we talk about enough on this board is getting enough sleep. It should be Protein, Water, Sleep. Oh yeah and exercise I think we all get so stressed out so make sure you get 7 hours of sleep. Good luck ~LA

Good luck. Thinking of you. It's not all rainbows and Unicorns but it does get better.

I agree I have never focused on calories. Just Protein, Water, and my Vitamins. I still have shakes and Protein Bars. Especially when I am out and about. I keep them in my purse for emergencies. I also keep Justins organic Peanut Butter packs and almonds. I eat every 3 hours to keep that metabolism going. ~LA

I agree with what's been said. I usually order something mostly Protein. chicken or Fish and then just ask for veggies with it no Pasta, potatoes or rolls. I say I am working with a nutritionist and need to stick to my plan. I order a Water and just take a little sip or two. For the most part people don't notice that much. Make sure you pack lots of protein Snacks though in case you are out and about or stuck in meetings. Be prepared. Bring a refillable water bottle. I am really bad about drinking my water when I travel for business. I don't know why. Good luck-You got this LA

I don't like Quest either. I like Power Crunch. They are around $1.50 each on Amazon and taste like a wafer cookie. -
A year out from surgery, what is your daily diet consist of?
SeahawksFan replied to Gail Ann's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
19 months post surgery. Been at goal for 14 months or so. This is what I ate yesterday. I do typically on the weekends have a few treats. ie last weekend I had one champagne cupcake, one slice of pizza, a bowl of Cereal and a few hot tamales at the movies. Not an entire box. I can eat anything I don't dump but will feel nauseous if I eat an entire box of hot tamales so I ration them out into a baggie for the movie . I still get my Protein in on the weekends but have what I want and then I am on the wagon come Monday. Again this works for me as I have a sweet tooth and I pretty much workout everyday. And I have never counted anything except protein and Water.....I love my nutritionist for understanding it's just not my thing. 5 am coffee with creamer and scoop of GENEPRO protein 30 G take all my Vitamins except my Calcium Workout 7 am Shakeology shake vanilla with added strawberries 9 am Old fashion oats with blueberries and 1/2 scoop protein 12 pm salad with salmon take calcium chews 3pm Combat Crunch Protein Bar 6pm Taco salad with ground turkey...no shell 8 pm Skinny pop snack Once your at goal you need to find what works for you. I keep my weight within a 4 lb range. Good luck- LA
