I also take it and was able to get it down with no problem until my 4th fill. At 2.3 cc in my 4 cc band thats when I had problems. If I take it with something warm and right after eating it still goes down OK..

Hi Don't wait to long, I did and now my band is totaly emptied and I have to see a GI specailist and get a scope done. The Dr thinks I bruised my esophaus very bad. So don't wait to long!

Hi This did happen to me too. I lost like 20lbs in the first 2 weeks and ended up at the end of 5 weeks losing a total of about 14 lbs. But the Dr said that is normal. He said in the first 4 weeks patients lose about 12-14 lbs. I am at 8 weeks today and have lost 20 lbs. Hope this helps...

Hi Karnyo Is the pain you are having right at the end of your breast bone? I was banded on December 4th and the first week I didn't have pain but the second week I had pain there. The Dr said it was probably due to the swelling and he must have been right because it went away on about week 3. I didn't have it when I ate or drank I only got the pain when I was sitting down. Probably the pressure from the band and the swelling. Its all gone now... I lost 20 lbs in 2 weeks but then when he started me on food for week 3 and week 4, I gained back 7 lbs. He said its normal so don't worry it will come off. I am losing again and haven't had my fill yet. Rosanne

Hi I am almost 3 weeks post surgery and I lost about 20 lbs in the first 2 weeks but now that I am eating I have gained about 4 lbs back. Is this normal or should I not have gained at all? Thanks Rosie

Hi I am almost 3 weeks out and I had the same problem as you are having. All I can say is that once I started on mushy foods it went away in a couple of days. I just think it was the acid build up from all the liquids. Hope this helped you out!

Hi Just had surgery 2 weeks ago and now I have a pain in the bottome of my breast bone. Feels like pressure against it? Is this the band I am feeling? It usually only happens when I am sitting down? Any one else have this? :think Rosie

My Dr. recomends the carnation instant breakfast drinks if you can't stomach the other protien shakes. They are not that low in protien and you will only need them until you start on foods.

How can you tell if your incisions are infected if the bandages havn't fallen off yet? My port site is a bit hot, should I remove the bandages?

How much water did everyone drink the first few days after surgery. They said to sip water all day long, but today is day one at home at I can't get much down.

My surgery is tomorrow also... Good Luck to you! Why can't you eat after 430, I can eat anything I want till midninght tonight and my mushy foods start after 6 or 7 days.. I wonder why Dr's do things so diferently
