bangbangbarbie got a reaction from InspirationMySon in 19 days (cue DUN DUN DUNNN)
I know it may not be a HUGE deal- but in 19 days I will have my first appointment necessary for surgery.
There, we will discuss what my best option is and ...
THIS IS THE BEST PART!
Because I have been a good girl and really proactive, I have already:
-taken the workshops
-completed packet
-blood work done
-psych eval done
-sent letter of recommendation from physician
-every other little damn thing!
Sooo, ideally- I will meet with everyone 2/5, and because they don't have to wait on anything, send off my information to my insurance co for pre-auth!
That means by this time next month, I could be told YES-- even better, scheduled ASAP.
Ahhh I'm so excited, but so so nervous all of this work will mean nothing if my insurance says no.
I'll keep y'all updated!

bangbangbarbie got a reaction from My Bariatric Life in The honest truth about saggy skin post surgery
Hi, I am 25 and hoping to be approved for a bariactric surgery. I am 235-240 lbs and 5'4" so I am right at 40BMI. At this point I have scheduled my first appointment (Feb 5th) and I am hopeful for acceptance from my insurance company. I am curious at how you would honestly classify your body one year post surgery. I do intend to make serious changes to my lifestyle, including eating healthier and working out. I am hopeful that at my age, and considering that I only just meet the criteria for surgery, that I will not experience a lot of sagging after the surgery. Does anyone have any experience with it? Does working out help the process? Does anyone have a story where they were a similar weight and could provide some insight?
Any and all comments and opinions are welcomed!
