    HUGE NSV!

What a great story! Congrats! I think it's so amazing that you are so active.

    Need some advice....

I have not personally experienced this but I am so sorry! You can do this! I do urge you to really reconsider your habits. This surgery will not stop you from having an appetite or eating more, YOU will stop you. The fistula is a horrible complication but only you are responsible for any weight regain, before or in the future. There are countless times I want to eat more and can physically eat more.. But have to restrain myself. I'm not perfect either, but I've learned that this surgery is only a tool. I encourage you to look into your future and how this time will be different. Keep us updated! Good luck!

    Post-op no holding back

Great Job! This surgery has been a huge blessing for me. Now is the time to start planning your new life, meal options, scheduling, meal planning, etc. You have to stay vigilant. You can do this!
  5. Before, 240 lbs After: 157 as of today and roughly 6.5 months post op. Happier than I've ever been. Will never go back.
  6. I understand that WLS is different for everyone, and no matter HOW it really ends up- you're way happier and way healthier. But is it unrealistic to hope to be in a bikini at the end of this? I'm not saying without hard work, eating healthy and working out-- and i'm not saying immediately... but is it totally unreasonable to hope for it?
  7. Be strict. Eliminate soda all together. It will just make you crave sweet treats!

    HELP NEEDED

I was having issues getting goods down and was throwing up a lot. My PA put me on omepramazol to heal the esophagus. Within days I have been able to tolerate 99% of things! I am only throwing up once in a while and I am about 12 weeks out. Consult with your surgeon.

    Jealous and Frustrated :(

I'm sorry, I totally understand. My insurance company fortunately did not require this. But I will tell you, truly try to use this time to eat smaller portions and wrap your head around the surgery. It comes with huge emotional consequences and you will succeed if you're prepared. It sucks, but try to use this time as wisely as possible.
  10. Just curious how you or your surgeon determined the magic number. Please share!

2 week post op: Before and After

    Love the dress sister!

    Feeling blue

Have you found a way to visually account for all of the lbs lost? For example I buy myself a pretty fake flower for every 10 lbs lost. As the bouquet grows I can visually recognize that I'm making changes. You need to be proud of what you've done so far, it will push you to continue to stay focused! Are you using myfitnesspal or anything? Gotta stay on it!

    You can do it

    Yay!

    Post Op Help

You won't physically need someone, but I'd say you will def need him emotionally. One or two days is a good idea.

    "You will fail"....question

Though just fyi, I don't dump whatsoever, and you may not either!

    This actually happened tonight!

I'm sorry but you sound like a spoiled brat. This post brings absolutely no value to this page.
  18. Really hoping to hear something from you Becky.
  19. I'm sorry! That sounds absolutely ridiculous. Perhaps he's looking at your job history to see if you're stable or make new decisions rashly, I don't know! It sounds like it was extra hard for you, especially being that he didn't ask any questions about the surgery! Stick with it, it is worth it.
  20. You should have already been at 1000-1200 calories. 700-800 is not enough in my opinion and you are rightfully hungry! Esp if you're working out!
  21. How did your insurance respond? It would be extra valuable if you provided any additional information about yourself: starting weight, comorbiditis, what they made you provide, etc. Acceptance, no questions asked. Acceptance, if you provide certain information. Denial, but with ability to appeal. Acceptance following appeal. Denial, with no ability to appeal, or you did and it did not work.

    Protein an hair loss

Curious why you're going from the sleeve to bypass within 2 years? If you don't mind

    How about some NSVs!?!?

I took a bath yesterday and shaved (everything), it was soooo much easier! No lost stray hairs missed in the process either!
  24. Hey there. I looked on the forums for twenty something's and it was a ghost town! I just had my bypass 3/31 and I'm healing well. I'm looking for someone my age who would like to text updates and keep each other positive. I'd prefer someone in a similar stage of the surgery but I am open and truly just would love to make a connection with someone who is looking for something similar. Please respond or pm me.
