  1. Hello...I know how your feeling, but believe me that six months did me well! It helped with weight loss and prepared me for the 10 day liquid as well as Now. Because it's a total Mind-Game and if I hadn't prepared I think I would be going crazy! Also the weight loss prior helped with recovery. I worked out hard and lost 30lbs. before surgery and that will make you feel Great going into surgery! I was able to clean out my closet and I got rid of old clothes 1 week before surgery and brought a cute jogging suit to wear home...that's now TOO BIG! So embrace the six month journey and with determination and willpower and you will be able to cope...Post-Op. Prayers are with you!
  2. Oh..OK...Thx. By the way, I'm originally from the DC area but living in Nebraska. I will be home this summer, it would be nice to meet up and just Marvel over our New Self's...LOL. When was your surgery and what did you have and how is your progress? I especially Miss DC during the Holidays. Hope to talk to ya soon. "DC IN DA' HOUSE!" lol
  3. Not to cross your legs??? Why? I try it everyday just to see how far I've gotten...feels Good! I don't hold it for long.
  4. Yeah, the comforts haven't been good for me either. A lot of Gas and Indigestion! But someone recommended Prilosec and I took one last night and was able to sleep lying flat!!!
  5. Mine was LONG!!! With a 3 hour Test!!! ...almost went into diabetic shock from hunger! LOL
  6. That's great! I'm going into week 3 and I've been going to the gym for 1 wk. You will feel Great! I'm loving it! My surgery was 11/18/14 and it feels good to buy new pants size 14!

  8. ...yes, I went from Hot-Mama to Frosty-Mama! I now sleep w/ 2 blankets, Love flannel PJs and Wool socks!
  9. OMG...my husband smells like A Garlicky Smell...but yes, he Stinks to me too. LOL P.S. I would never tell him either.
  10. Hi, I'm going on week 3 and my Biggest problem is the feeling of wanting to Burp and Indigestion which keeps me up at night. But I'm glad you called the Dr because I really don't think that should be happening to you. Hang in there I hear it gets Better.
  11. ...yes get up and walk. I have a dog and I walked him around the yard when I came home. Now I'm going into my 3rd week post-op and I'm back at the gym...but very slow. It will get better. Right now I keep feeling like I have indigestion...it's annoying!
  12. Hello...that's why I had the surgery I heard No More Meds! ...and for Me that was So True! Sugar is excellent and blood pressure good! No meds for me!
  13. Hello...just go slow and start with the treadmill for 15 mins. I just went back this week and it was hard but now I look forward to going and I STOP looking back at what I use to do. I do 15 minutes on treadmill, elliptical, bike. Also try protein drink: w/ Almond Milk, Rice Protein Powder, Spinach, Kale, 1/2 banana, cinnamon. It gives Great Energy.

  15. Hello is anyone having or have had a hard time lying down at night? I seem to get Serious Heartburn or the Burping feeling. I've taken Tums but it seems like I'm eating them like candy! I don't eat before I go to bed. This Tuesday it will be 3 weeks post Op. Any suggestions?
  16. Don't worry you will do Great! I was 200lbs. but suffered with high B/P and Diabetes and that was my reason for doing it. I had a lot of people saying...your not big enough! That's why I kept it from people until I got close to my date. I am now FREE OF ALL MY MED'S...AMEN! I THANK GOD FOR THIS SURGERY AND YOU GUY'S ON THIS SITE!

  18. Hello...Yes, walk or go to the gym. Today was my first day back in the gym and I was only able to do 25 minutes but I'm feeling better. My surgery was 11/18/14. Don't get into that state of Depression because it can easily come. Get Moving...
  19. Hello...we have the same surgery date. I'm doing great too! Today was my first day going to the gym...I took it slow because I was surprise that I couldn't do much, considering I feel Great! But one day at a time. BW/ 230...SW/ 200... CW/ 194.
  20. Yes, congratulations I too just got out of the 200's and this is day 9 post Op for me.
