  • You are still fresh out of surgery and still healing. It could be gas. I know I feel that way when I have gas. It feels like your gut is about to explode. Perhaps some walking will help you

Are you home or in the hospital? It's probably gas, but if you're worried ask (or call) your doctors.

Probably just swelling from all the cutting...keep siping!

...yes get up and walk. I have a dog and I walked him around the yard when I came home. Now I'm going into my 3rd week post-op and I'm back at the gym...but very slow. It will get better. Right now I keep feeling like I have indigestion...it's annoying!

I had mine on the 3rd. and feel absolutely awful. I have been walking and sipping and sleeping. My tummy looks like I should have given birth 5 months ago. It is uncomfortable and I cannot shake the pounding headache I have. Looks like this may be a normal thing. I am looking forward to tomorrow. Hope you feel better by then as well!

It's gross to talk about, but I had the same thing, and then I got hit with a huge round of diarrhea, and that cleared it up for me. I'm three days post-op now, and the huge swollen belly only cleared up in the late morning today after some very noisy time in the bathroom.

Same thing happen to me. My belly was swollen and full of gastric Martians then my 1 st day home, I spent a lot of quality time in the bathroom and now it looks as if I lost weight. Not to mention I started my girly cycle at the same time. It should get better once you poo. Don't be concerned if it's explosive, it's normal at this point.

I also started my cycle actually same day as op. Maybe thats a factor aswell.. I guess Ill have to spend some more time in the bathroom. My belly is still swollen but Im hanging in there...

I looked like I was pregnant for at least 2 weeks after surgery. Couldn't zip up any of my pants and had to wear sweats. Even after the swelling went down, I felt bloated for about a month. It wasn't the surgical gas they pump in your abdomen because they sucked all that out and I never had any pain. It was just swelling from surgery. Walking at least helped with the bloated feeling.

I'm glad in not the only one who had a visit from Mother Nature before surgery lol

I am 5 days post op and look like I have two belly buttons lol

The largest Incision was above my navel and its swollen

i had my surgery on the 4th and i have noticed that my stomach is sticking out more..i'm just not getting use to the 2 sips then feeling like everything is about to come up then 20 mins later hungry...not head hunger but actually hungry. iu eat 2 more spoons or sips then done...is that normal tobe hungry so soon?

Are you on Clear liquids or full liquids? I was just the opposite. I had to work up to getting 60+ of Protein and at least 48 ounces of Water because I always felt full from all the sipping. I started just getting in the Protein shakes in the morning and drinking water rest of the day. Once I could start working out again I did much better. i could go every 3 or 4 hours between meals and get my water in in between.

I haven't drunk anything completely... I just got back from the doctor and he gave me some anti-spasms meds. I have sipped on the same bottle of water since Monday. I'm on full liquids. So hopefully the new meds will help. I think I was scared to drink anything because it kept getting stuck. I'm trying to keep the faith and not be discouraged..i know this was the best thing for me...I guess I'm just impatient
